Sholokhov "The Birthmark" (summary). A story about the tragic love of a parent and child

A lot of stories about parental love are written. Such works invariably take the reader's soul. Therefore, probably, and took for the first time for this theme Sholokhov. "Mole" (a summary of this will show) - a story about the tragic love of the father and son.

Chapter 1. Nicholas Koshevoi

Civil War. A young man, a soldier, fills up some documents in a military building. Nothing, except for the eyes, does not give out to the experienced campaigner. Nikolai Koshevoy is only 18 years old. He's even a little shy about his age. True, he has already had many feats of arms. This boy is already the squadron commander.

Sholokhov describes the protagonist in such a way and at the same time in small strokes throws a contour of his fate. Kolya is an orphan. The father disappeared in the First World War, the mother also left this world. From his parents he had only vague memories and a mole on his ankle, more precisely, a birthmark. The people were told, at least in Kolya's time, that the birthmark is the mark of the lucky ones. Whether it's true or not, Sholokhov will tell. "Mole" (short content including) does not set the reader in a good mood. The work is quite heavy and sad from the very beginning.

Chapters 2 and 3. The Dead Horse and Ataman

The second and third chapters are so small that in our review they can be combined into one. In the second chapter a messenger came to Koshevoy. The way to the commander last cost a horse. The poor beast rode for a long time without any rest, therefore it fell dead in the courtyard of Commander Koshevoy. Naturally describes the death of the horse Sholokhov. "Mole" (a brief summary, we hope, gives it to feel) is impregnated with anxiety and a sense of near unhappiness.

The messenger brought news of the gang that was seen in a certain locality, and the chief of that region tearfully asked the young commander to help. The young man is not used to refusing, and as it is possible, because there is a war.

In the third chapter, we see the future chief rival Koshevoy - Ataman. He does not have a name. It is known only that he was in the First World in captivity, then Wrangel, Turkey, and now he became the leader of the gang. I got to the plot of the story Sholokhov. "Mole" (the short content will be a little more interesting to read further), starting from this moment, will become more dynamic.

Chapter 4. The grandfather-miller and the gang

Grandfather Lukich is included in the narrative. In order to create an atmosphere, Sholokhov paints rural life. Then come the evil fellows with the ataman. Ask first about the "red", then about the grain. Grandfather does not have any grain, not "red ones", he said. The henchman's henchmen begin to search the mill and find the full bins. The grandfather begs not to take the grain, so hard work collected. The commander of the gang does not listen to him and feeds him with a remarkable grandfather's harvest of his horses. The real villains were created by the writer in his work "Mole". Sholokhov painstakingly describes the misery of the poor miller.

It is noteworthy that Ataman has little robbery, he still wants to hear from the miller, as he does not like the "reds." Grandfather obediently repeats that he hates the members of the official army of the new government.

Chapter 5 and 6. "Betrayal" of the grandfather and the battle

Later grandfather, while bandits were drinking vodka in his yard, quietly crept to the young commander Koshevoy and told him everything. How came the adversaries, took the grain and insisted on his refusal to recognize the Soviet authorities and their supporters. Over the years the mud squadron is wise. He did not waste his energy on words. The main character of the work "Rodinka" is remarkable. Sholokhov clearly sympathizes with him.

Koshevoi listened attentively and said only one thing: "Saddle!".

Of course, Sholokhov is far from Hollywood films, but he also described quite dynamically the scene of the struggle of Red Army soldiers with renegades. The central battle is a confrontation between the Ataman and Koshevoy. We would very much like to say that the boy defeated an experienced soldier, but it is not so. Youth does not always overcome maturity, especially in war. Unfortunately, the young man fell in the fight. In his work "Birthmark" Sholokhov describes it perfectly, and we, in turn, will try to convey only the general meaning of this sad event.

Ataman chose the right moment, he watched the young man, left the shelter and slashed once with a saber. Thus, a young soldier, or rather his soul, went to the paradise booths. The bandit removed the binoculars from the young man. I wanted to sneak and new boots. One leg succumbed without difficulty, and the second - in no way. Ataman shook his shoes at himself with bestial strength, pulling not only the boot, but also the stocking. The dead man had an ankle and a birthmark the size of an egg of a dove. Here it is - the most unexpected moment, which contains the story "Mole". Sholokhov (brief content, we hope, kept intriguing to the very end) brilliantly twisted the plot!

Ataman changed from villain to inconsolable father and began to wail: "Sonny! .. Nicholas! .. Native! .. My bloody ...". Then, apparently, thinking that nothing could be changed, the commander shot himself from the Mauser. Thus ends the story "Mole". Sholokhov wrote it, and we recounted only a brief summary.
