Russian defender Ibrahim Tsallagov

Ibrahim Tsallagov is a Russian football player who recently joined the St. Petersburg Zenit. He turned 26 years old, so now he is actually at the peak of his career. Ibrahim Tsallagov plays as a right-back, but he can also play on the left flank or take the position of a defensive midfielder.

Ibrahim Tsallagov was born on December 12, 1990 in Vladikavkaz (then Ordzhonikidze) and at the age of nine he joined the football academy of the local "Alania". There he spent all his youth, but when it came time to sign a professional contract, the player chose "Wings of the Soviets." So Ibrahim Tsallagov left his first club and moved to "CS", but officially he is listed as a graduate of "Alania".

Flowering in the Wings of the Soviets

In the new club Ibrahim Tsallagov, whose nationality is constantly confused because of his Ossetian roots (Ibrahim by nationality Russian), could not immediately gain a foothold in the base, since at that time the "Wings of the Soviets" were a fairly strong team.

During his first year, he played for a double, playing 44 games there, but in 2010 there was a financial crisis of the club, which forced the leadership to abandon the services of leading players and give way to young talents. Tsallagov, of course, took advantage of the opportunity presented to him and showed himself in all its glory, becoming not just a base player, but one of the key players.

Seven years the football player spent in the main team of "Wings of the Soviets", having played in the total of 195 matches and scoring nine goals. He did not leave the club even in 2014, when he flew to the second league - on the contrary, he did his best to help him return to the Premier League, which he managed to do already in 2015.

Going to Zenit

However, in the winter of 2016, the time for change came - the 26-year-old football player received an offer that could not be abandoned. Tsallagov received an invitation to one of the strongest clubs in the country - St. Petersburg "Zenith" for three and a half years, and "Wings of the Soviets" as compensation received 400 thousand euros. The parties came to an agreement, and on January 1, 2017 Tsallagov became a player of Zenit. So far, in the midst of the winter break, the transfer window is open, so the matches have not been played yet, so I have not made my debut for the new club Ibrahim yet. However, in all positions that he can occupy on the field, Zenit have strong players - right in the defense Igor Smolnikov, on the left - Domeniko Krishito, in place of the defensive midfielder - captain of the team Javi Garcia.
