Alu Diarra - late-breaking talent

Alu Diarra is a French football player, who never found a club in which he could stay long. An exception can be considered only a four-year period in the "Bordeaux", but everything in order. In this article you will find out what was the career path of the talented defensive midfielder Alu Diarra, in which clubs he played and what successes he managed to achieve.

Carier start

Alu Diarra was born July 15, 1981 in France and at the age of six he entered the football academy "Ones-sous-Bois". There he trained for a long time, until in 1993 he moved to the system of the club "Villepent", where he spent four more years. At the age of sixteen, Diarra moved to the youth squad of the Luan-Cuizo club, where he trained for three more years before signing a professional contract. However, there he did not stay long - his talent was noticed by the bigger clubs, and already in the summer of 2000 the 19-year-old midfielder was in one of the strongest clubs in the world, the Munich "Bavaria". Many believed that Diarra in this club has a great future, but for the two years that he spent there, the player did not go out on the field one time. Having played 41 match for a double of "Bavaria", Diarra moved to Liverpool, but there was no place for him in the base, but nobody wanted to duplicate him. The club management decided to develop Alu Diarra's talent in a different way, with the help of a lease.

Leases

The French footballer of Malian origin was in Liverpool for three years, but, as in the case of Bayern, he did not play a single match there. Already a month after the signing of the contract, Diarra was sent to his homeland for rent at Le Havre, for which he played 25 matches. Then Alu was in "Bastia", where he entered the field already 35 times, and after that - in "Lance", where he played 34 matches. In total during this time he scored six goals, but it should be remembered that Diarra is a player of the defensive plan, and this is not his first priority. As a result, in 2005, "Liverpool" made the final decision on the 24-year-old Frenchman - he had no future in the English club, so Alu Diarra, a football player who was still only playing leases, went home to France. The last club, for which he spoke, "Lance", agreed to buy out a midfielder contract for three million euros.

The French period

In "Lance" talent Diarra began to unfold, so here the player did not stay long. In one season he played 32 matches, scored two goals and was bought by one of the strongest French clubs, "Lion", for a price more than twice what Lance paid Liverpool a year earlier. In the "Lyon" Diarra won his first trophy, becoming the champion of France together with his new club - and again changed residence. This time another powerful club, Bordeaux, laid out seven and a half million for the 26-year-old opornik. As it was said before, it was in Bordeaux that Diarra stayed the longest - he spent four seasons in this club, having played a total of 133 matches, scoring 11 goals, and most importantly - winning both the Championship and the French Cup in 2009. In 2011, the 30-year-old player who began to lose his grip was sold to Marseille for five million euros, where he managed to win the French Cup in one year. And after this triumph Diarra was sold to West Ham for two and a half million euros.

English Period

In "West Ham" Alu spent only six months, after which he was sent to finish the season in "Renna" on loan. After his return, he spent another year in the English club, but for all this time he came on the field only six times. As a result, the player's contract with the club ended in 2014, and the 33-year-old football player was temporarily out of work. But he did not want to retire, so in February 2015 he seized on the opportunity presented to him: another English club, Charlton Athletic, decided to conclude a short-term contract with him. There, he showed himself well at the last stretch of the season, for which he received an extended contract for another year. In total, at the club "Charlton Athletic" Diarra held 44 matches, scoring one goal. And when the midfielder's contract came to an end, he decided to return to his homeland and moved to the "Nancy", for which at the moment, unfortunately, has not yet held a single match.

National team appearances

His first challenge to the national team of Diarra was rather late, in 2004, at the age of 23. He made his debut in a friendly against Ireland, ended in a goalless draw. As a result, he was included in the French national team for the 2006 World Cup, coming on as a substitute in the group stage match against Togo, and also playing in the final, where the French lost to the Italians. European Championships 2008 Alu missed, and went to the 2010 World Cup, but went on the field only in the match against South Africa - but with a captain's armband. Diarra also went to the European Championship in 2012 , where he spent all three matches of the group stage at the base of the whistle to the whistle. The third of these matches, against the Swedish national team, was the last in the career of midfielder. In total, he spent 44 matches for the national team.
