Rudinshtein Mark: biography, career, interesting facts

Who is Mark Rudinstein? This is a famous filmmaker, producer and actor. 2016 for him became a jubilee - this great man turned 70 years old. A long time for which Rudinshtein managed to do much. He became the founding father of one of the most important film festivals in Russia, received the title of Honored Artist, staged several paintings and starred in many roles himself. And also managed to quarrel with almost the entire film career after the publication of scandalous memoirs.

In addition, Mark Rudinshtein, whose biography will be considered in the article, is Odessite in spirit. He does not get behind the word in his pocket and can tell a lot of tales from his life, often gloomy, but always sounding witty.

Rudinshtein Mark: biography. Childhood and adolescence

Rudinstein's childhood fell on hard post-war years, when the country was just beginning to recover after the devastating war. Mark was born in Odessa in a Jewish family. And this origin almost led the future actor to the wrong bandit path.

At school among the students he was the only representative of the Jewish nationality, and therefore constantly subjected to attacks from peers. And when another child from the Jewish family came to the educational institution where the little Mark was studying, they naturally became friends. The best defense is known to be an attack, so it's no surprise that the two guys turned into a small gang. One of the skirmishes ended in a fight with a knifing. As a result, young Rudinshtein got into a children's colony.

Fathers and Sons

After some time spent in the correctional facility, Mark's father helped him to get an early release. As Rudinstein himself recalls, his parent could have done this before, but he did not, considering the punishment an excellent way of education. The son of this, however, did not appreciate and immediately after leaving for freedom left his native Odessa to Nikolaev.

Generally it is worth noting that Mark's relationship with the parent was ambiguous. In his memoirs, Mark often spoke not very pleasant things about his father. However, as time showed, Rudinstein, Jr. rarely spared anyone in conversation.

Grigorievich, Izrailevich or Kasrilyevich

Usually Rudinshtein is called Mark Grigorievich, however in the passport the producer has a completely different middle name - Izrailevich. This is exactly what his father used to be. And until the age of 21 Mark did not hide his father's name. However, everything changed in 1967, when there was a military conflict between Israel and Syria, which radically changed the attitude of the Soviet Union towards the Jewish state. Rudinstein Mark, the real name and patronymic of which Mark Izrailevich, at that time served in the army. You can imagine how unbearably he had with his middle name, which suddenly became synonymous with the enemy. Therefore, he began to be called Grigorievich, using the name of his grandfather. Gradually, his real patronymic was forgotten, although in the passport Mark Rudinshtein did not change his real patronymic.

The funny thing is that Rudinstein should have been called Konstantinovich in a good way, or, in the Jewish version, Kasrilyevich. That's what his father called at birth. However, on the wave of enthusiasm associated with the creation of the Israeli state, Rudinstein the elder changed his name.

Unsuccessful shipbuilder and eternal student

After moving to Nikolaev at the age of 15, Mark got a job at a shipyard. For a long time he did not work there, he realized on time that the working specialty was not his vocation. Therefore, soon after the army, he moved to Moscow, where he entered the GITIS.

Unfortunately, they did not give him a chance to finish this theatrical higher education institution - again, Jewish roots were prevented. I had to go to the part-time department in Shchukinsky. After graduating from it, Rudinstein began organizing concerts of Soviet pop stars, and also became the director of the vocal-instrumental ensemble "Hello, song!".

In the dock

The work in "Roskoncert", on the one hand, in many ways revealed the talents of Rudinstein as an intelligent organizer of events. And on the other - led him into the prison cell.

In the early 1980s, another witch-hunt began - for any attempt at independent economic activity, a considerable period of time could be obtained. And Rudinstein, as they say, fell under the distribution. He was arrested for stealing state property. The situation was frankly absurd - everyone understood perfectly well that Roskoncert's management had to spend money to transport equipment and organize entertainment events, and often much was done around the official ways. But the perpetrators still decided to find.

Rudinshtein was given 6 years, although he spent about a year in prison - after the review of the case he was acquitted. However, the memories of days spent in custody became one of the most unpleasant in his life.

The worst day

Even about the days spent behind bars, Rudinshtein remembers with his usual sense of humor. Although there was not much fun in those days. Mark had to spend months in a crowded cell, where there were not only people convicted under the "economic" article, but also real criminals. In many ways he was helped by the acquaintance with the stars of the stage, about which he could tell interesting stories.

But the most terrible thing for Rudinstein was the transfer to the detention center, where his only neighbor in the cell was the former Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan. According to the recollections of Mark himself, the most terrible day in his life was the New Year's Eve of 1987, when prisoners spent the night broadcasting from Red Square where people were having fun.

Rudinshtein nearly broke, dropped his hands. He suffered a heart attack. And only the help of friends, including Kobzon, forced him to file a petition to review the case. Rudinstein was acquitted for lack of evidence.

Organizational abilities

After coming to freedom, Rudinstein continued to organize concerts. Fortunately, at this time, changes began in the country, and he was able to apply his truly Jewish commercial vein without any fear.

So, it was Mark who became the organizer of the legendary rock concert in Podolsk in 1987, which was named the Soviet analogue of Woodstock.

Later, Rudinshtein became famous for having acquired the rights to the film "Interdevochka", which during the time of perestroika became a real cult. This purchase brought Mark a very decent profit, but one of the subsequent crises destroyed almost all the acquired.

Creator of "Kinotavr"

Mark Rudinstein, whose photo you see in the article, led a very stormy organizational activity, but his main contribution to the cultural sphere was the creation of one of the country's largest festivals.

In 1990, Mark, based on his leisure center "Podmoskovye", organized a festival of domestic cinema, where the films were presented, where there was no buyer. He won on that movie review, by the way "Die, Die, Rise Up," who subsequently successfully performed in Cannes.

Well, and the Moscow Region Festival itself became a prototype for a larger and well-known film forum. In 1991 in Sochi, thanks to the efforts of Rudinstein, the first Kinotavr was held. This festival was remembered not only as a review of good domestic cinema, but also as a place for parties for many movie stars, both Russian and foreign.

After many years as a producer of "Kinotavr" Rudinstein, tired of the heavy organizational work, resigned and sold the rights to conduct it.

Rudinstein Mark - producer, actor

After graduating from the Shchukinsky Theater School in the specialty of "acting", Mark repeatedly acted in film. However, he himself frankly admits that the actor's talent is not the greatest, and therefore most of his roles are episodic. Thanks to the charm and texture, his small roles almost always were bright and memorable. However, there were practically no high-profile films in his career.

The first role he played in 1992, in the film "Short breath of love," which he himself produced. And in 1995 he played his first major role - a functionary in the film "Pioneer Mary Pickford".

Mark Rudinstein, whose filmography currently has more than a dozen paintings, plays mostly small roles. The most famous of them is "Come and see me". Also Rudinshtein often appeared on TV series, in one of which - "Spa novel" - he played one of the main roles. Three paintings in the early 90's he put as a producer.

Currently, Mark G. works in the actor's troupe of the "Theater of the Moon" under the leadership of Sergei Prokhanov. Here Rudinshtein enjoys the opportunity to just play small roles in the performances, not being the main star.

Scandalous memoirs

Who is Mark Rudinstein? Photos of this wonderful person you see in the article. Like many well-known personalities, Rudinshtein received an extremely ambiguous fame. And the reason for this - his scandalous revelations, which in 2010 gave rise to a lot of noise in the press.

Mark G. was always quite skeptical about people. Communication with a large number of famous actors gave him the opportunity to see the entire inside of show business and the world of culture. You can be a great actor, but at the same time a disgusting person - that's how you can characterize his attitude to many celebrities.

And in his memoirs Rudinstein did not regret anyone. And the great Abdulov and Yankovsky got it. Subsequently, Rudinstein even had to apologize to the Yankovsky family.

The scandal began with the publication of a fragment of the book in one of the printed publications. Then followed the filming in the program at Malakhov, but it turned out to be so full of obscene details that the air did not come out. For a long time and the output of the memoirs was a big question, but now you can find this work on the net.

Many still can not forgive Mark Grigorievich that he discovered not the most pleasant aspects of the life of the screen idols. To the credit of Rudinstein himself, it is worth noting that, in relation to himself, he often spares no critical and caustic remarks.

Conflict with Mikhalkov

However, relations with individual characters in the Russian cinema were spoiled long before the release of memoirs.

So, we know about Rudinstein's conflict with the odious Nikita Mikhalkov. Mark Grigoryevich himself considers the dislike of Mikhalkov to be a basis for these hostile relations. In addition, Mikhalkov, as a product of the Soviet system, is clearly in conflict with the freedom and entrepreneurial spirit that Rudenshtein demonstrates.

At the same time, with his brother Mikhalkov, Konchalovsky, Mark Grigorevich preserved normal relations. By the way, it was thanks to Rudinstein that the director met his future wife, Julia Vysotskaya.

Personal life

The active nature of Mark Grigorevich affected his personal life. He was married three times, but he was not capable of permanent relationships. As he himself observed, every 16 years a man needs regeneration, new blood and new energy.

In addition to official relations, Rudinstein had a rather unusual history of relationships with a girl who called herself "interdevochkoy." In many respects this story, told by Mark Grigorievich himself, resembles the plot of the same film, including the acquaintance of the heroine with a foreigner.

Life lived for good reason

Despite a series of scandals, Mark Rudinshtein, interesting facts from the life of which were presented to your attention in the article, continues to lead an active life in the cultural sphere. He plays in the theater, leads a television program about the cinema. In 2003, he received the title of Honored Artist, named honorary resident of his native Odessa. Yes, he often speaks out loud what should be kept silent, but this quality has always been inherent in Odessa. And for his 70 years he has done enough to believe that this life was not in vain.
