Two years ago this scandal was actively discussed in the media. At the beginning of June 2015, the collective of the restaurant "Old Omsk" (Lenin street, 23/1) was given a heated rebuff to the staff of the "Pyatnitsa" TV channel. The staff of the establishment tried not to allow reporters of the "Revizorro" film crew to enter the kitchen. The result of the brawl was a broken microphone of the famous presenter Helen Letuchy and a damaged video camera. During the filming, the presenter herself was repeatedly bathed in water from a bucket. It was said that after the coverage of these hot events on TV, the restaurant "Old Omsk" ceased to exist. After the implementation of journalistic inspections, the results of inspections are broadcasted on air. In early June 2015, among other catering establishments of the city, the "Old Omsk" restaurant became the object of the "Revizorro" inspection. The meeting with the staff of the institution turned into material and moral losses for journalists: broken property, a fight, watering, police involvement, etc.

How was everything?

According to eyewitnesses, as soon as Elena Letuchaya, the presenter of the television program "Revizorro", crossed the threshold of the restaurant, an aggressive man attacked her. As suggested by customers who visited at that time restaurant "Old Omsk" - the owner of the institution. A woman joined him. The couple refused to introduce themselves to journalists. In the kitchen there was a real fight, in which all the members of the "Revizorro" group got pretty much. Restaurateurs did not restrain themselves in words or actions: they smashed cameras, pushed journalists, broke the leading microphone.

For her part, Elena Letuchaya, who asked the staff to call the police, stubbornly tried to continue checking the sanitary condition of the kitchen. Then the aggressively minded woman representing the inspected institution, twice from the bucket, covered the journalist with cold water.

What violations were found?

As it turned out, the owners of the institution did not try to interfere with the shooting. The journalists found that the restaurant's kitchen was in terrible condition. Viewers managed to see that the dirt and unsanitary conditions were everywhere - on the floor, on the slabs, on the hoods, and on the desks for cutting. Fresh products in the kitchen were completely absent, like any labeling. It has long been subject to replacement, as noted by the leading, deep frying oil used in the kitchen.

In the kitchen, journalists discovered a large number of expired products that were not labeled: a dubious type of meat, sour cream, and a plate with weather-beaten sausage and meat cuts. In violation of regulations, fruit, meat and cake were stored together in the same refrigerator. In the freezer was a ham three months ago. The cameras recorded how the journalists who were lying in the kitchen for almost a week were sent to the scrap. In no less deplorable condition were also the toilet room and a hall for visitors.

Arriving police officers, instead of calling to order the uninhibited owners of the establishment, they, on the contrary, tried to remove journalists from the restaurant. At the end of the Omsk audit, Elena Letuchaya expressed her desire to report to the police on the fact of causing material damage to the group.

The results of testing Rospotrebnadzor

After the scandal, employees of Rospotrebnadzor also checked the restaurant "Old Omsk". During the audit, gross violations in the content of equipment and products were discovered. Soon it became known about the closure of the institution.

Now what?

About the restaurant "Old Omsk" Omsk is now remembered exclusively in connection with the scandal. There are no grateful and regrettable reports about its closure. On the contrary, many visitors express confidence that the institution should have been closed for a long time, since it disgraced the city. In place of "Old Omsk", scandalous in the course of a journalist's inspection, now is trying to work a new institution, the second in two years. The fame of the scandalous "Omsk" was so loud that people are still afraid to come here. In December 2016, the cafe "Shashlychny Dvorik" opened here, which, alas, did not last long.

Now the new restaurant Old street has been opened on the site of the scandalous restaurant, which has been sunk into oblivion, deservedly obliterated to oblivion. Omsk is invited to taste the taste of culinary novelties and traditional dishes of national Belarusian cuisine.
