Responsible for fire safety in the organization appointed employee from among the management team. In order to receive this appointment, it is necessary to work in the organization for at least 3 years. The appointed person is obligatorily approved by the order of the head of the enterprise.

The future responsible for fire safety is adequately trained. The training period is about 72 hours. During the training, this person needs not only to learn exactly what fire safety is, but also, for example, to learn the methods of first aid, to study the provisions regulating work safety, safe production methods and other useful information.

After training and appointment, the person responsible for fire safety can begin to fulfill his duties. They include: conducting the briefing of the employees of the enterprise, supervising that the managers and employees pass the appropriate certification in time.

In addition, the person conducts other similar activities related to such an important point as security, protection and security of work. The first thing that needs to be done after the order on appointment is signed is to check the availability of fire safety certificates and their terms for all IT engineers. Then you can begin to check the fire-technical minimum of such employees as locksmiths, gas cutters, that is all those who are engaged in work related to fire.

Of course, the responsible person needs to know a lot about what fire safety is. According to the law under the number 69 (21.12.94) the term "fire safety" is treated as a state of protection of a citizen, society as a whole and property from fires. We will analyze what includes another term - the "state of security".

The person in charge of fire safety must know what fire is and what its degree of danger is in various situations. For example, you need to have an idea of what a "fire triangle" is. This term indicates conditions that can lead to a fire. The first "face" of the fire triangle is the presence of a combustible substance. The second one is the ignition source. The third is the presence of an oxidizer (usually oxygen). In the event that at least one of the "faces" is eliminated, a fire will not arise.

Therefore, the person responsible for fire safety assumes such an obligation as regulating the storage of combustible substances in the premises and on the territory of the enterprise. In addition, he must periodically check the serviceability of the fire alarm and automatic fire extinguishing systems.

As for the safety of the people themselves, as already mentioned above, this person conducts such activities as fire safety training, fire prevention, and ensures that employees do not violate the requirements and rules in this respect during the work.

Of course, all the above actions and activities must be carried out in a complex, because all aspects of such a concept as fire safety are closely related to each other.
