ROM works at times slower, but it differs by its large capacity and the possibility of long - term storage of information.

RAM can be of two types: static and dynamic. Dynamic RAM makes it possible to repeatedly rewrite information, but it requires frequent renewal (about every 15 milliseconds). Static RAM stores the recorded data all the time while power is supplied, and does not require rewriting.

Physically RAM looks like a set of chips or modules with microcircuits. They are usually connected to the motherboard. RAM can have different characteristics, and when you select it, you need to take care of compatibility with the installed system.
