Pyrolytic oven cleaning is one of several cleaning methods

No matter how carefully you do not operate the oven, burnt fat will inevitably remain on its surfaces. For safe and efficient operation, it is necessary to clean the oven from time to time. To date, there are the following methods: pyrolytic cleaning of the oven, as well as hydrolytic and catalytic cleaning.

Producers are constantly trying to improve this procedure and do everything to clean the oven quickly, and at the same time spent the minimum power of the hostess. To achieve this goal, special coatings are used, which are badly adhered to burnt fat, and advanced self-cleaning systems are being developed.

In the simplest models, no additional systems are used, and therefore traditional cleaning of the oven is carried out, which involves the use of cleaning agents for ovens. Such tools are inexpensive and it is best to wet the surfaces to be cleaned before using them, so that burnt fat can be removed. This will greatly facilitate and speed up the cleaning procedure.

Companies such as Gorenje and Ardo use hydrolytic purification in their ovens. It is based on the principle of hot steam, which helps soften the fat and dirt, which are then easily removed with a rag. In such cases, special acid-resistant enamel is used in such ovens, which, due to the smooth structure, does not allow penetrating deeply the dirt and grease.

The most common is the catalytic cleaning method, which is used in the ovens Ariston, Kaiser and others. The essence of this method in the use of a special enamel, which has an increased porosity, and due to this is the absorption of fat. During operation of the oven at temperatures of 200 ° C or more, it is split into soot and water. Thanks to this technology, the oven is cleaned constantly during operation. However, the disadvantage of this method is not a very high degree of purification. To wash such enamel it is possible and usual means of cleaning, only it is impossible to use those in which there are abrasive materials.

The disadvantage of this method of cleaning is the relatively short life of the enamel, it is about 5 years. For ease of use and prolongation of service life, removable panels are used, which can be quickly replaced. Recently, the ecolithic coating has been used, which extends the service life of the product in half. In the case of the formation of persistent pollution, it is recommended to include such an oven empty and stand for about an hour.

The most effective, but at the same time, the most expensive is the pyrolytic cleaning of the oven. Such a method of cleaning is used by Electrolux, Bosch, Miele. It consists in heating the chamber to high temperatures (of the order of 500 ° C), with all the dirt and fat burned, and you will only have to remove the soot formed by a rag.

Pyrolytic cleaning of the oven is used exclusively in expensive electrical appliances. In gas ovens it is impossible to use it, since it is technically difficult to heat such an oven to the specified temperatures.

The body of the product in which pyrolytic cleaning of the oven is applied is made of high quality steel, as it must withstand repeated heating to high temperatures. Also special attention is paid to the use of good thermal insulation and cooling of external parts, so as not to heat surrounding objects and to avoid injury to users.

It uses heat-resistant enamel and tempered glass, which are usually several pieces (from 3 or more). Despite this, when cleaning the oven its door can warm up to 70-80 ° C, so use special tacks to avoid injuries. Also, when carrying out the cleaning, it is necessary to remove the baking sheets and utensils from the oven so as not to damage them.
