Generally, the power of the vacuum cleaner is described by two terms, which are absolutely not identical and describe completely different characteristics of it.

This term indicates how much electricity is consumed by an electric cleaner per unit of time. Of course, this figure is many times higher than the suction power, therefore manufacturers always specify it. How can it be "read" correctly? The fact is that with her help you can easily calculate how much will you clean the premises. So, the higher the figure, the "rounder" will be the amount of money that you will spend on cleaning constantly.

Suction power of the vacuum cleaner.

This indicator is even more important than the first one. Because it clearly shows how much air will be drawn in. And the higher this indicator, the purer your apartment will be. Of course, it should be borne in mind that this figure will always be lower than the indicator of power consumption.

Typically, household vacuum cleaners suction power does not exceed 480 watts, and consumed - 1800 watts (for example, Samsung vacuum cleaner).

For example, if the area of the room is not very large and is not contaminated, then suction power of 250 or 330 watts will be enough.
