Pattern: Cat Simon (master class). Cat Simon - soft toy

Animated Cat Simon from the animated series of the same name for several years as closely entered our lives. And how could it be otherwise, if this cat is so real and funny? We suggest you try to make this cute character. Pattern "Cat Simon" is attached to the article.

What do you need to sew?

The list of necessary tools and materials for sewing a toy "Cat Simon":

  • Pattern (large, small, any);
  • Paper (preferably denser);
  • Pencil, marker, pen (that is at hand);
  • Fabric for the "body" of any color (you can use any, but softer the toy will come from fleece);
  • White cloth for the eyes (use the same material as for the whole body);
  • Black thread for the face (preferably a mulina or just a yarn thicker);
  • Any filler (sintepuh, sintepon, holofayber, grain and so on);
  • Thread for sewing (preferably in a tone of body color);
  • Tailoring scissors (or conventional);
  • Beads for pupils;
  • Pins.

Pattern "Cat Simon"

So, to sew any thing, you need a form. The most common pattern of "Toy Simon Cat" is shown below.

It must be printed on any paper using a printer. Remember that the size of the pattern depends on the size of the finished toy "Cat Simon". Pattern increased in comparison with the original or, conversely, reduced, allows you to make a whole family of seals. The easiest way to change the size of the form - when printing from a computer, select page parameters (for example, set "Print on A4 page").

After printing, we see that the pattern "Cat Simon" consists of three parts: the trunk, tail and eyes. The printed version should preferably be converted to more dense paper (for example, cardboard). This option will be maintained for a longer period.

Then you can translate the paper pattern on the fabric:

  1. Cut out all the details of the paper pattern on the contours.
  2. Fold the main fabric in half. At the same time, the front side must be inside, and the fabric should be stretched in the sides, as in the picture of the pattern. If you have the color of the body of the toy and the eye is the same, then take another piece of white tissue (for the eyes).
  3. Attach a paper pattern to the fabric and pin it neatly with pins.
  4. Circle the outline of the paper pattern with a marker, pencil, pen. Unstick the paper pattern from the fabric.
  5. Connect two layers of fabric with pins or gently sweep them together.
  6. Cut out the planned details of the future toy.

Sewing the body of a toy

Pattern "Toy Cat Simon" will no longer be needed. It can be put aside so that it does not interfere.

Now we start to stitch the parts. For this purpose it is convenient to use a sewing machine, if it is not there, then you can use a simple needle and thread.

1. Sew all the details except the eyes, clearly on the marked contours. So the toy will turn out neat. Do not need to leave holes to turn out. Here's why.

2. Cut out all stitched details, retreating from the seam for about a couple of millimeters, if you are sewing a toy from fleece fabric, if from another - a little more.

3. Make small incisions on the indentations in the area of the connection of the ears, fingers and paws with the muzzle. This will save the finished product from ugly constrictions.

4. Now it is necessary to turn out the sewn, but not yet finished product. To do this, make small incisions in the following places:

  • On the muzzle, where you plan to sew eyes;
  • On the tail, from the side where it will be sewn to the main body.

5. Unscrew all parts carefully so that the cuts do not part. You can use the back of the pencil or a wooden stick.

6. When all the details are turned out, you need to fill them. To do this, we push small portions of stuffing into the body and tail. It is necessary to fill it tightly enough. Particular attention should be paid to the far corners of the ears and fingers, and also do not forget to single out the pussy cat.

7. After you have all stuffed and smoothed, cuts must be sewn. Do not forget to use a thread in the tone of the fabric. Darn should be a hidden seam.

Stapling Parts

When all the details are stuffed, and the cuts are sewn, you can completely sew the toy.

Tail

Sewed to the body with the side where there was a cut for eversion and stuffing. It is best to sew it in a secret seam in a circle. So it will be more reliable and aesthetic.

Eyes

  1. Apply two circles to the muzzle and fix them with pins.
  2. Under the circles we put a little stuffing, so that the eyes are embossed.
  3. Sew our eyes with a white thread. Sew better in the style of "beyond the edge."

4. Make pupils of beads. To have less thread, sew the beads with one thread, and then take the bundle to the place where there will be a spout.

Simon's cat muzzle

Before the creation of the toy was complete, there was very little left to do. But this step requires also great care in the actions, like the whole previous work.

Still you will need a little imagination. After all, your cat can smile, frown or even show the tongue!

To get such a muzzle, as in the picture below, follow the instructions below:

  1. Mark the main points of the future muzzle. To do this, you can use pins or a special disappearing marker, if there is one.
  2. Take a tight thread, preferably a floss. Insert two layers of thread into the needle. Then fold it up again. In the end, you will sew a thread in four layers.
  3. Make a contour of the eyes. To do this, sew each thread with a suture with the back of the needle.
  4. Next, sew a new thread with a new thread. Each new stitch must be snug against the previous one.
  5. Now draw "draw" the thread. Also use the "back needle" style.

The toy is ready!

Simon's Cat for Adults

For a change, you can make a toy-boy. Pattern Simon's cat with eggs differs from the usual only with additional elements.

Instruction:

  1. We cut out two more kruglyashya, which in size will be no less than the eyes.
  2. Then we sew them over the edge and pull them together.
  3. In the middle of each "bag" fill the filler.
  4. Sew two "bags" in a circle from the two sides of the tail.

The cat-boy is ready!
