Page orientation manipulations: how to make a landscape sheet in a Word

It's hard to imagine a person who at least once in his life would not have used Word's word editor. Indeed, the Microsoft Office program is a unique tool. It allows not only to process text documents with maximum comfort, but also to edit tables, images, or even change the position of pages when printing. In order to understand how to make a landscape sheet in Word, you will have to learn a few tricks and learn how to communicate with this program on "you", which is not only useful, but also extremely exciting!

By learning this, you can work with the text in a position that you find more comfortable. After all, each Microsoft Word document is not just a dry text editor like "Notepad", but also a real work of art that comes out from under your fingers! But let's talk about the case.

Two options

Microsoft developers do not waste their bread! Here is the first thought arising when opening any text document, because there is no other program with the same combination of the level of comfort management and functionality, as in the Word. To make an album sheet, or, in other words, "to orient a work page" in two ways.

The first way. For it you will need to click on the "Page layout" tab in the top panel of the working document, then in the appeared settings, right to the "Fields" window, select the "Orientation" menu, in which you simply select the position of the page you need. This way will help you to answer the question of how to make a landscape sheet in the Word, only if you have a version of Office installed from the seventh and higher, in older versions of the program everything is different.

The second way. If you have an old version of MS Office installed on your computer, do not despair, because we know how to make a landscape sheet in these versions! And with them everything is much easier. Even older versions are slightly more difficult to manage, but their panels are equipped with appropriate windows of the menu, fully copying functions of later versions.

If you look at the bottom line of your Ward control, there you can see a few buttons, roughly centered on the screen, which show the different positions of the page. By hovering over them and holding the mouse in this position for more than a second, you will trigger an automatic prompt in which the page orientation descriptions will be displayed. Among the options you will find the notorious "landscape", then click on it and admire the result.

What is it for?

Most often, landscape orientation is used when you need to save space on the page when working with tables or when preparing to print a book format (when the page is divided into two columns). In other cases, this situation is convenient for widescreen monitors, on which the usual layout of the sheet seems too narrow. In any case, the main function of the Word is to ensure comfortable use of all its features, and, apparently, the developers coped with the task posed masterfully!
