Oleg Mikheev: biography of one of the most scandalous politicians in Russia

Mikheev Oleg Leonidovich is one of those Russian politicians who now and then attract the attention of journalists. Later, Oleg Leonidovich founded the group "Diamant", which became his biggest child. Over time, this construction company has become a large regional holding company.

In 1999, Oleg Mikheyev received a law degree from Volgograd State University. By the way, in the future the politician will receive some more higher educations, and one of them he will master in 2002 in the institute of management, which is in Great Britain. In 2004, Mikheyev buys Volgoprombank, but sells it three years later. This was due to the fact that in 2007 a criminal case was opened against Oleg Mikheev, and most investors withdrew their investments because of distrust of the bank.

On the personal life of the politician it is known that he is married and has three children.

Political career

For the first time to subdue the political Olympus, Oleg Mikheev tried in 1999. Then he tried to win elections to the city council of Volgograd, but ultimately was defeated. In 2003, Mikheyev again wants to go to the regional Duma, but again the fate failed him.

In the future, Oleg Mikheev will constantly nominate his candidacy from this party, due to which he will become a deputy of the State Duma of the fifth and sixth convocations.

The loudest scandals

In mid-summer 2007, Mikheyev was accused of tax evasion. During the investigation period, the businessman was placed in the pre-trial detention center, where he stayed for about 3 weeks.

In 2013, a criminal case was again brought against the deputy, this time the reason was fraud in especially large amounts and pressure on the court. According to the investigative committee, Oleg Mikheev was involved in fraud with real estate, which could bring him a profit of 2 billion rubles. Because of this case in February 2013, the State Duma removed from Mikheyev's immunity.

In addition to political scandals, Oleg Leonidovich likes to shock the public in ordinary life: his appearance in Nazi uniform at the wedding of his fellow party member became a topic for one of the programs on REN TV.

In December 2015, the Volgograd Arbitration Court found the former deputy bankrupt. At the same time, the judge ordered to begin the procedure for selling Mikheev's property in order to cover the current debts of the politician.
