Oleg Gusev: biography, achievements in football

The history of Ukrainian football knows many examples of generations of players who have flashed without leaving any significant achievements. However, this man not only got into big sports at the right time, but also managed to show the qualities necessary for rapid and successful development. Multiple winner of the Cup and Super Cup of the country, Golden Ball, four-time champion of Ukraine, quarter-finalist of the World Cup - Oleg A. Gusev - occupies an honorary page in the history of Ukrainian football.

Oleg Gusev: Biography

Currently, Gusev is the midfielder of Dynamo Kiev and the Ukrainian national team. The athlete was born on April 25, 1983 in the village of Stepanovka of the Sumy region of the Ukrainian SSR in a family not connected with football.

Physical data: height - 179 cm, weight - 71 kg. Gusev plays in the "Dynamo" under his favorite number "20", and in the national team - under the number "9".

Carier start

Future player Dynamo Kiev began to engage in football in the local Sumy Youth Sports School, coach Anatoly Semenets. Excellent proved himself in the attack, despite the fact that there were problems with his health. Doctors even wanted to ban a young football player playing sports. The young man had unstable pressure and noises in the heart. But Oleg lived only football and, as he himself admitted later, with age, everything itself somehow passed. Then he moved to the Sumy youth team "Smena", where he also proved to be a great scorer. Playing at the children's and youth level, Gusev scored many goals. So, in the last season of "Change" - 10 goals in 10 matches.

The way to great football began with the game for the newly formed team "Frunzeenis-League 99". Being a striker, Oleg scored a lot of goals, and after two seasons he was invited to play for the farm club "Borisfen". Here, and saw the future star of Ukrainian football mentor Kiev "Arsenal" Vyacheslav Grozny. Gusev's debut in the Premier League took place on July 22, 2002 in the game "Arsenal" with Poltava "Vorskla". Playing under the leadership of Grozny, Oleg gradually moved from attacking to midfield. And this is not because the attack did not work. He just proved himself as a football player, able to play almost any position. And after a series of experiments, Vyacheslav Grozny stopped on the flank version. The athlete himself was not very happy with such a rearrangement, but for the sake of the team he agreed.

When did Oleg Gusev become famous? "Dynamo" has got "the universal fighter" in 2003. That's when the career of an athlete began in the capital's club. For the first time Gusev played in a new lineup in a game against the Volyn club in July 2003. And in the third match in the match fate brought the football player with the old team, and he scored a goal to "Arsenal". The athlete did not lose time for nothing and immediately managed to show his talent. In the first season of the game for "Dynamo" Gusev scored 10 goals in 41 games, won the Super Cup of the country, became the champion of Ukraine. Thanks to such a bright debut, the 20-year-old athlete immediately received an invitation to the national team.

From this moment the most successful 5-year period in the Dynamo career began. In 2005 Gusev was awarded the title of the Best player of the national championship. He won the national championship three times and won the Cup of Ukraine as many times. Next was the FIFA World Cup in 2006, where in a fight with Switzerland it was Gusev who scored the decisive goal and led the yellow-blue team into the quarterfinals. For this success, Oleg was awarded the Order of the third degree "For Courage". The athlete showed himself so well at the championship that he was interested in the French "Lyon". But the decisive word was for the president of Kiev Dynamo, and Igor Surkis refused to sell Gusev, highly appreciating the quality of the player.

Injuries

Speaking about the professional career of the player, we can not fail to mention the injuries that Gusev kicked out of football sometimes for quite a long time. The black streak began in 2008, when in a match with the Donetsk "Metallurg" Oleg unsuccessfully landed on the field, injuring two meniscus and anterior cruciate ligaments. This injury required almost a half-year recovery period. The form was typed with difficulty, and only after the arrival of the new head coach Valery Gazzayev in the club athlete was able to return to his place at the heart of the team. In 2010, another trauma occurred, costing the player several months, but the worst damage occurred in 2014 in a match with the "Dnieper". In the head of Gusev knee goalkeeper Denis Boyko, after which the midfielder lost consciousness, and his tongue fainted. From the player's field was carried away with closed traumatic brain injury, concussion, a bruise of the soft tissues of the jaw and damage to the teeth. 2010 - 2015

It is a mistake to think that after 2008 and injuries the best time for the player is left behind. In 2012 Oleg Gusev was chosen as the captain of the Dynamo team and took part in Euro 2012. In 2015 the sportsman became the owner of the next Cup of Ukraine and the title of the champion of Ukraine.

In 2015, right on New Year's Eve, they had a daughter, who was named Alexandra.

The young wife of Oleg Gusev, in addition to educating his daughter, teaches Chinese and English. In the future, Maria plans a non-standard business for the wife of the famous football player. She dreams of opening a car wash next door to a beauty salon.

It is known that a passionate hobby of a football player is billiards. In his homeland in the Sumy region Gusev is rare - a maximum of two times a year.
