Within the framework of the 25th Moscow International Book Fair, September 7, a press conference was held on the International Literary Prize named after Sergei Yesenin "About Russia, wiggle its wings ...", which was established in 2005 by the Union of Writers of Russia and the Fund for the Support of Culture and Tourism. The prize is awarded in 9 nominations, every two years on the birthday of the great Russian poet - on October 3, by decision of a professional jury composed of famous poets, literary critics, journalists, artists and artists.

Young poets and non-professional authors, writing in Russian, from all regions of Russia, near and far abroad take part in the Contest. Laureates of the Prize receive an official prize - "The bronze portrait of Yesenin" by the world- famous sculptor Grigory Pototsky, a diploma and a monetary prize (except for the nominations "Honor and Dignity" and "Debut"). Each laureate also gets the opportunity to print his works on the pages of the All-Russian literary magazine "The Russian Bell".

The meeting was attended by members of the Prize Committee: Secretary of the Writers' Union of Russia, actor, director Valery Ivanov-Tagansky, head of the administration of the national portal Stihi.ru Natalia Morozova, chairman of the selection committee of the Prize in the nomination "Hope of Russia" (young authors), poet Alexander Olga Chistyakov, representative of the author of the official Prize of the Prize Olga Bare. A press conference was held by the Chairman of the Selection Jury, a member of the Union of Russian Writers poet Dmitry Darin.

He thanked the leaders of the Moscow International Film Festival for the opportunity to present the Sergei Yesenin Prize at the fair and conveyed a congratulation from the International Literary Prize named after Sergei Yesenin to the International Literary Festival "White Cranes", which is currently being held in Dagestan. Then Dmitry Darin told about the intricacies of the multi-stage work of the Prize jury; About some innovations for nominees. Also, right at the press conference with the submission of participants a new nomination was born - for the best translation of Yesenin into foreign languages.

The Prize Committee has already identified the names of the three laureates. In the nomination "Honor and Dignity" the Prize will be awarded to the creator and head of the Yesenin Northern Museum, located in the village of Roslyakovo in the Murmansk region, a teacher of Russian language and literature, art critic Valentina Kuznetsova. In the nomination "Seeking View", the professor of Ryazan State University won. S.A. Esenina, the editor-in-chief of the journal Contemporary Eseninovedenie, Olga Voronova. The winner of the Prize in the nomination "Cinema, theater, television" - for creating the image of Yesenin on the stage or screen "- the second after the national artist Sergei Nikonenko - will be an actor of the Taganka Theater, Dmitri Mulyar, who played the poet in the film" The Golden Head on the Scaffold. "

Answering the questions of the participants of the press conference, Dmitry Darin invited everyone to the solemn ceremony of presenting the International Literary Prize named after Sergei Yesenin "O Rus, wiggle the wings ...", which will be held on October 3 at 6 pm in the reception hall of the Writers' Union of Russia.
