Surprisingly, at times this model was equipped with not cheap system units. Although, rather, this is not indicative of the high performance of this video card, but of the greed of the builders. So, the Nvidia GT 440 based on the GF108 core was released. The process technology is 40 nm. The graphics processor runs at 810 MHz, which is a very good indicator for a budget video card. Onboard there is only one gigabyte of RAM of type DDR3 with a frequency of 1800 MHz. It should be noted that occasionally there were models of Nvidia GT 440, as memory used by a much more advanced GDDR5, operating at a frequency of 3200 MHz. But such options are quite rare.

If you have enough money, but you need a more or less adequate discrete component, then this option will be optimal. By the way, to what temperature can the video card of this model be heated at all? Practice shows that with the maximum manual overclocking of the chip (up to 1.5 thousand MHz), the temperature can reach 58 degrees Celsius. In the "drain" mode, the graphics processor rarely warms up to 47 degrees.

Best Performance

It is this graphics card that has on board GDDR5 with a high frequency. However, this model presents much more stringent requirements for the power supply: it requires a minimum of 300 watts, whereas more modest varieties successfully "get on" and work even on older power units with lower power. But such models on the market have not existed for a long time, so it's not worth worrying about.

Regardless of the manufacturer, the Nvidia GT 440, the characteristics of which are given in the article, is very quiet. Since the energy consumes very little even at the peak, the heating is also very weak. Because of this, the model is recommended for the assembly of small computers with a small internal volume of the case.

As for more serious games, everything is more complicated here. Gamers say that "Metro-33" is difficult, but it goes on the settings just above the minimum. Games released after 2013, unfortunately, it is better not to run. Even if they go (which is unlikely), then only in the mode of a very leisurely "slide show."

But with the video playback problems do not arise at all. So, the videos in 720p and 1080p show this video card without much effort. Owners of old computers note that the Flash video submits to it without problems. And it pleases, given how gluttonous modern browsers are in terms of consumed resources.
