Despite the fact that the frequencies of the latest video cards were higher, in performance they significantly lost the GTX 465. It was the improved architecture of the semiconductor chip of the graphics accelerator and allowed it to win with more modest frequency parameters from its direct competitors.

The second important factor is the improved overclocking potential, which allowed to get 30-35 percent additional speed. A similar situation was in the StarCraft 2 version of Wings of Liberty. The first place in 1920x1200 mode was occupied by the same GTX 465. His number of frames in the basic mode was 75, and overclocking allowed to increase this value to 76. The second place was occupied by GTX 460 with 74 and 75 respectively. Well, the decision "ATI" generally failed. Its values were equal to 49 and 56. The only plus that could be countered to its competitors solution from ATI is energy efficiency. All the rest was on the side of NVIDIA.

The cost of the device and reviews about it

The NVIDIA Geforce GTX 465 graphics card could not be cheap initially. The price recommended by the manufacturer was $ 280. Against the backdrop of the power of the younger model in 160 W this figure looks really overpriced.
