The tract on the Abrau peninsula is called the Broad Beam. It is known that some part of the terrain is allocated from the environment.

Mezhgorye, or gorge (or gully), 2.5 km long, leads to a beach with small pebbles, fenced off from the rest of the peninsula by the mountains Ostra, Amzai and Sapun, on the slopes of which a mixed forest grows. Therefore, the tract has its own, different from Novorossiysk and its environs, microclimate.

A young and wonderful resort

This corner of nature resembles the southern coast of the Crimea and the Mediterranean at the same time. The wide beam, in which there is a comfortable urban village, a beautiful beach and amazing flora and fauna, represent a sanatorium-resort part of the complex of the city of Novorossiysk. This paradise is located in 4 km from the village of Myskhako, which means "cape leaving for the sea" in the Adygea language, and 10 km from the hero city of Novorossiysk, whose municipal formation it is. Its angle can be called relatively, because the Broad Beam is a fairly large resort education - 43 objects, which include recreation centers, sanatoriums, hotels and, of course, all related infrastructure. The local population has adapted their homes for a comfortable rest of people coming to rest with "savages".

Geographical information

Three beaches ("Lukomorye", "Surf" and a 1.5-kilometer nudist) are connected to one common one, which stretches for 3 kilometers. Its borders are the slopes of the mountains: from the northwest - the Wizard, from the south - the Sharp. The gorge rises from the beach to Novorossiysk, it gave the name and the village, and the resort area - the Broad Beam. Mezhgore is really not narrow, although on modern geographic maps is called a "slit", on its bottom runs the so-called river, which is, rather, a creek with a width of 1 meter. It is called Chuhabl. The highest mountain from the surrounding gorge is the Broad Girder - Sapun (438.4 m). Many streams flow into the river, and they all together form a drainage with a total area of 20 square meters. Uniqueness of the tract

The structure of the soil is such that the moisture at the roots of the trees persists for a long time, so the slopes of the mountains are covered with bright greenery. Actually, the gorge is of interest precisely because of its vegetation, because trees grow here, which are nowhere else in the world - for example, the sacred vitex, the Abraham tree, and others. Most importantly, in Wide Balka, a fine, even climate - summer is not hot, the winter is not cold (the gillyflowers are in bloom). It is the mild climate that provides incomparable comfort - the air temperature in July is +28 degrees, and the water - +27.

All this led to the formation here of the sanatorium complex "Broad Beam", rest and treatment in which turned the suburban holiday village of Novorossiysk into a resort of federal significance. Warm clean sea, pebbly beaches, mountains covered with forest - all this is inherent in many places of the Black Sea coast. The microclimate of the tract is what makes this place a unique climatic resort, known (included in the corresponding register) since 1908.

A bit of history

Traces of Greek settlements, which archeologists find along the banks of the gorge, confirm historical information that these places from the end of the VI century BC to IV BC. E. And in recent years here, as elsewhere, intensive construction has been under way - the embankment has been transformed, new infrastructure facilities have been renovated or built. As a result, Novorossiysk itself, the Broad Beam and all the neighborhoods are gradually turning into places very worthy of visiting, in no way inferior to the Black Sea recreation areas of other countries.

Especially valuable in these places is the velvet season, because even in October, the water temperature is above 19 degrees. It's always crowded in Shirokaya Balka, because here you can find rest for every taste - for lovers of cultural entertainment, and for admirers of peace and contemplative peace. After 2002, the chapel of St. Alexis was built and consecrated.

Wide beam bases

As already noted above, in the huge spa resort of Novorossiysk, the Broad Beam occupies a special place. There are more than 40 different bases and holiday homes on its territory. The most often mentioned and discussed are "Chernomor", "Metoclub", "Seagull", "Ocean" and "Forest Fairy Tale". Located here, in the health resort "Wide Balka", the base "Surf" is also famous for the fact that it owns a beach that can not be reached except through the territory of the base itself. The staircase leading to the beach, which is under a cliff about 40 meters in height, has 203 steps and two recreational areas. City Beach

Before this departmental beach from the village of Myskhako is the city - "Lukomorye", which is especially adapted for children's recreation. Here is located the eponymous health camp. The beach is large, fully equipped, in its vast territory (length - more than a kilometer, width - 30 meters) along the sea are numerous water attractions.
