"Quiet hunting" - this is how people call fishing. And this hobby gives the lion's share of their free time a lot of people. This does not apply to poachers who fish for the sake of profit in all lawful and unlawful ways. Here we are talking about true anglers who are ready to sit for hours with a fishing rod in anticipation of biting. And who among these "quiet hunters" does not want to catch a major representative of the underwater world? And in our reservoirs such a delicious prey can become carp. This fish is a strong and cunning opponent, and catching it is not so easy. And it even more provokes real anglers. And since the carp was brought from Asia, people have come up with many ways to catch it. But in recent years, it has become increasingly popular to catch carp for boilies.

This newfangled word came to us from England. In the Russian translation, the word "boil" means "cook" or "boil." That is, in essence boilies are vareniki, only intended for fish. In the West, this bait appeared back in the 80's, and with it not only carp, but also trout, barbel and other fish are caught. Now it is also possible to buy boilies for carp fishing in any specialized store. Also, if desired, you can prepare this bait yourself. After all, a boilie is a cooked and then dried ball of dough.

Boil boilies for carp can be made from different components. It can be rye, wheat or corn flour. Also for this bait, you can use mango, soy flour or flour from various cereals (rice, peas, millet and others). You can take ground cake or sunflower seeds, which are ground to flour. Suitable for this purpose is also dry baby food, baby dry cereal or powdered milk. Also in boilies add eggs, sugar, honey, salt and biscuits. Do not disdain and such ingredients as bird food, animal feed, ground to flour, or fish feed. Even in boilies add different flavors. It can be odorous oils, various essences or vanillin. And this is only part of the products from which you can make such a bait. All these ingredients, of course, do not use together, but usually take no more than six components.

Catching carp for boilies has its advantages. Firstly, this bait is too large for small fish size. Therefore, only large copies peck at it. And, secondly, the boyle is attached so that the hook remains naked. In this case, it is easier for the fisher to catch fish. But here the important thing is the very fastening of the boil. First you need to pick up the hook. In the western countries there are special carp hooks. But if there is none, then you can do with a forged crochet. It should be of a dark color with a short forearm and a ringlet. Hooks are also selected taking into account the expected production. So, for example, on a 5 kg carp you need to take a hook at number 7 or 8 and a boil with a diameter of 16-18 millimeters.

Choosing a fishing line for the leash also affects how the carp will catch the boilies. And a thin braided line for these purposes will do the most. It is also important to correctly choose the length of this leash. After all, in theory, the shorter it is, the less likely that the leash will overflow with the main line. And here the optimal length is 10-15 centimeters. But at the same time carp is very cautious fish. And he, having felt resistance, can throw bait. Therefore, it is preferable for him to take longer leashes - from 20 to 40 centimeters.

Also, in order to catch the carp in boilies was successful, this bait must be properly secured on a leash. A Boyl is placed on it using a special needle. When this needle with the hair passes through the bait, then it is detached, and at the tip of the fishing line make a loop. She will not let the boy slip off the hair. And the remaining end of the line is attached to the fore-end of the hook and fixed by a dense cambric. It is also worth noting that there are two types of boilies: they are sinking and floating. If the bottom of the reservoir is firm and level, then sinking boilies are used. It happens that sometimes fishermen use both types of boilies at the same time. And to adjust the depth of immersion, the bait uses a sinker. Also in this way of fishing there are many more subtleties that can only be learned from our own experience.
