Mysterious constellation of Pisces

The constellation of Pisces is one of the most famous constellations of the zodiac, in it the point of the spring equinox is located. It consists of two parts - they are traditionally called the Northern Fish and the Western Fish. By the way, the Western Fish is sometimes called also its other, Arabic, name - Crown.

While searching for the constellation Pisces in the sky, it is worth remembering that in space there is another group of stars with a similar name. This constellation is South Fish, which is not far away. However, they should not be confused.

It must be said that, unlike other star clusters, there are no bright and very noticeable stars in the "fish" constellation. But here there is another value - quite an interesting white dwarf, which is called the star of van Maanen. This is the third, if we take as a basis distance from the Sun, a white dwarf in our system, and at the same time it is the closest to the Earth from dwarfs solitary. From us it is separated almost fourteen light years.

It should be noted that the constellation of Pisces has long attracted the eyes of people who, of course, endowed it with fictitious qualities, surrounded by stories and legends. Even ancient astrologers tried to interpret it, meeting with a lot of difficulties. Thus, for example, worshipers of a deity named Enki, the Sumerians believed that the Pisces is a constellation, which is one of the incarnations of God, a fish-man named Oannes. Their priests even wore special clothes that looked like the zodiac symbol of Pisces.

The ancient Egyptians and Pisces were connected with the god Horus and the goddess Isis, and in Babylon - Ninhursag. Despite the further widespread Christianity, the old images and symbols have not disappeared in the abyss of centuries. The new religion absorbed much of the paganism left, and many legends associated with the heavenly constellations were created by it. The very name of Christ was associated with the word "fish". It is due to the fact that in Judea the long-awaited arrival of the Messiah is connected with this sign. But in the Talmud, the Messiah was directly called Fish, based on the ancient prophecy: it would appear when Jupiter and Saturn converge in the constellation of Pisces. In other words, the constellation of Pisces possesses a compelling force for astrogens and astronomers.

Photos of this cluster of stars can be found both in serious works on astronomy, and in any book devoted to horoscopes and the zodiac. Astrologers have always ascribed to Pisces at the same time the desire for our Earth, being, matter, and craving for divine principles, the unknown spiritual world, undiscovered knowledge and unknown forces. Much is attributed to the constellation: the connection with the cross, and the analogy of the world evolution, and the link connecting with the higher, divine wisdom, which is revealed only to a select few.

Hence a somewhat mystical description of people born under the sign of Pisces. They always have the opportunity and the temptation to swim in two directions: against the current and obeying the insidious waters. They seem to stand apart from everyday bustle and commotion, as if they understood the secrets of some hidden knowledge and higher matter, as if they were involved in the unknown. As a rule, such personalities are credited with internal, and external beauty, harmony, subtle organization of the soul and an innate craving for the beautiful. But at the same time Pisces is characterized by weakness, indecisiveness, shyness. In other words, they can always choose any one of the two directions, and their whole life depends very much on the choice.
