According to the plot of the film, Colonel Galkin and his unit are entrusted with the defense of the strategic object - Wuthering Heights. To strengthen the existing forces, a special unit of the GRU under the command of Valery Egorov is also sent to the point. Yegorov has his "own" man among the militants, who warns the servicemen of the Russian army about the impending attack.

Colonel Galkin sends Lieutenant Doronin's company to defend the pass. But the opponents in terms of numbers are much more than employees of Doronin. Fighters still manage to defend the object entrusted to them, but the whole team of Lieutenant Doronin perishes except for 23 people.

The film was shot by Andrei Malyukov based on the novel by Alexander Tamonikov. Andrey Malyukov is also the author of the films "We are from the Future", "Mosgaz" and "Match".
