The course of physics - with a complex theory, but it is nowhere more fundamental than anywhere else. The tasks that students perform are mostly of an applied nature, and in this connection some dissonances sometimes appear. Physics is studied using textbooks by Saveliev and Irodov, who, incidentally, were MEPhI teachers themselves. The students' feedback is that they also use Sivukhin's textbook (as an auxiliary one).

Laboratory works and other

On laboratory work, the requirements are unusually high, you will have to thoroughly torment yourself in order to fully master all the postulates of the theory of errors and errors. Such is the entire study at the MEPhI, reviews of freshmen and undergraduates in this regard do not differ: yes, it is difficult. The amount of work on theoretical physics depends on the department, but there are no easy ways anywhere. This course is made entirely by Landau, the amount of material varies from three volumes to ten.

Founded in the distant 1942, but subsequently renamed more than once, the physics and technology faculty is also very popular in MEPI, reviews about it are received no less enthusiastic. In any case, the "T" faculty appeared as a result of the division of the engineering and physical faculty, and the faculty "F" is practically his brother. This happened in 1954.

Students here participate in international programs at least as often as others: they explore space from NASA, cooperate with Western Europe in the INTAS program, supervise nuclear materials with American master programs, the Faculty has five ISTC projects, and the Nuclear Research Center of Belgium participates in several other projects of the faculty.

Branches

In total, the MEPhI includes eleven institutes - separate structural divisions. One of them is IAE NNIU MEPhI, which will be of interest to applicants who wish to associate their profession with nuclear power plants.

The Institute of Atomic Energy is in Obninsk. For more than fifty years he trained many thousands of specialists for this industry both in Russia and abroad. A number of federal ministries initiated the establishment of the Institute of International Relations in 1999 on the basis of the MEPhI.
