The drug is able to increase the formation in the capillary walls of mucopolysaccharides with a large molecular mass, increase the stability of blood vessels, normalize their permeability against the background of pathological processes, improving microcirculation. Meat "Etamsilat" also has a haemostatic (hemostatic) property. This effect, according to experts, is based on the ability of the drug to activate the formation of thromboplastin. The drug has no effect on prothrombin time, does not provoke excessive coagulability, nor does it contribute to the formation of thrombi.

Dosing regimen

The drug "Etamsilat" is allowed to be used orally, intravenously, for the eyeball (retrobulbarno), under the eye (subconjunctival), intramuscularly.

Duration of the drug - from four to six hours. When injected into the muscle, the hemostatic effect is noted somewhat later. When administered orally, the action occurs after three hours.

In order to prevent bleeding an hour before surgery, Etamzylate (in ampoules) is administered intramuscularly or intravenously at a dosage of two to four milliliters (one or two ampoules). If necessary, the injection is repeated during the operation. Allowed before the operation (for three hours) instead of intravenous administration give two or three tablets. At an increased risk of postoperative bleeding for prophylaxis, an injection of 4-6 ml per day or six to eight tablets is given (evenly throughout the day).
