Matyr reservoir: description, fishing, rest

The largest reservoir of the Lipetsk region is located on the Matyre River. It is located in the Gryazin district, is called the Matyr reservoir. Occupies an area of about 45 square meters. Km. Its length is 40 km, the maximum depth is 13 m, and the width is 1.5 km. It was formed in the period of the existence of the USSR.

At the time of the construction of the metallurgical plant, a shortage of water from local rivers arose, in connection with the prohibitive capacity in production, the construction of the reservoir solved pressing problems.
