Ballet is a very special kind of art. Dancers in the language of body movements tell the audience different subjects. Drama and comedy are embodied in the choreographic images, one of the most difficult elements of which is a jump in the ballet.

Terminology

  • Cabriole is a difficult virtuoso figure. The performer holds one raised leg at a certain height, punching it one or more times with the other foot.
  • Pa de Poisson is a big complex jump in the ballet from the supporting leg to the other. At the same time, a throw is made back of each leg in turn. The ballerina flies back in flight and looks like a fish jumping out of the water.
  • Pa de Bac - the dancer jumps from foot to foot with a sliding forward-backward movement in the 5th position.
