Appearance of the breed

Karelian Bobtail is a cat with a slightly angular figure, because of this the animal seems large, although in fact it has an average size. Triangular, slightly elongated head, not full cheeks, small, but quite noticeable transition from forehead to nose, and the nose itself is wide and without a pinch. Eyes are medium in the shape of an oval. The color range of the eyes is diverse, but most often there is a yellow-amber color. Sometimes there is an emerald, light green color, but the Karelian bobtail with eyes of different colors, and also blue-eyed ones, is least likely. Eyes always blend in with the color of the cat. The ears are located straight and high, open forward, usually they are either medium or large. The body of the Karelian bobtails is very strong, all muscles are well developed, the hind legs are usually noticeably longer than the forelegs. The feet are small and neat. Thanks to small well-groomed legs, the animal looks very elegant. The main feature of these cats is that the Karelian bobtail has a short tail in the form of a pompon. The tail of the bobtail, although small, but it is always raised, very flexible. And also it can be bent sideways. The coat is short and long. If the animal is healthy and well-behaved, then the wool shines and fits well to the body, but the feel feels harsh. The color of the coat can be completely different, there can be one color, and maybe different combinations of colors.
