Childhood

The full name of the composer is Kim Juliy Chersanovich. Julius Mikhailov is a pseudonym under which he worked. A boy was born in Moscow on February 23, 1936, three years before the outbreak of the war. Julia's father was a Korean Kim Cherson, an interpreter by profession, and his mother was a Russian girl Nina Vsesyatskaya. Childhood of the child was not easy, because just two years after the birth of his son, the head of the family was shot, and his mother was sent into exile. About how Julius lived all these years, little is known. In addition to his family was still a sister, and both of them after the arrest of my mother were sent to my grandparents in the Kaluga region. Then he spent several years with his aunts in Turkmenistan, until 1945, when my mother returned from exile. But he could return to Moscow only in 1954.

Youth

Arriving in the capital, Julius Mikhailov enrolled in one of the prestigious educational institutions of the time - the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. After graduating from the institute and receiving the long-awaited diploma, Julius was determined to work in a Kamchatka school. There he worked for four years, which he remembered for life. It was his first professional experience, and such things are never forgotten. After that, Julius worked in Moscow, where he taught subjects such as literature, history and social studies. For some time he worked even in a boarding school.

Maturity

During this period of his life, Julius discovered a talent for writing poetry. He learned to play the guitar and began to create wonderful musical compositions. All the while while Julius was working as a teacher, he put with his students a lot of different scenes with musical accompaniment, which can be safely regarded as musicals.

At the age of thirty, Julius Mikhailov, whose photo you see here, became an active member of the movement for the protection of human rights. This is what caused the appearance of the alias. At the same age, Julia's life changed, he married. Yulia's wife was Irina Yakir, the daughter of the famous human rights activist Peter Yakir, whose fate was similar to that of the poet's parents. Peter was arrested when he was only fourteen years old, and he went into freedom he was already an adult male at thirty-two.

In the 60's, Julius, along with his father-in-law, participated in many actions and movements in defense of rights, as a result of which Julius lost the opportunity to teach. The school administration did not forgive him for participation in such actions. Since then, Julius lives and works as a free poet and composer.

Creation

Although Julius began to write poetry and accompany himself on guitar while still a student, it took many years until he was recognized by the public and was recognized as a great talent. In the early 60's he began to give concerts in the Moscow region and he was immediately ranked among the talents of Russia. In 1968, his work began in the theater and cinema. He began composing songs for films and plays.

Since Kim was a dissident, in the cinematography and the theatrical sphere he was known under a pseudonym. At that time very often in the credits of the films one could see the name of Julius Mikhailov. The staging of his songs was excellent even during his teaching. And in the flowering of his work his talent simply won people. His songs were sung by millions of people, and this was a tacit acknowledgment of success.

Working in the theater and film industry, Kim became less involved in human rights work. He became more absorbed in creativity. The turning point was the time when he began to write his own plays. The work "Noah and His Sons" was published in 1985, and Julius played the main role in it. It was during this period of his life that Kim stopped using his pseudonym, and also released a disc with songs under his real name. Later the record was released with his works. Until now, this talented person continues to write beautiful scenarios. He lives not only in Moscow. He often travels to Jerusalem and spends a lot of time there.

Twenty years later he became a laureate of the Golden Ostap award. Bulat Okudzhava established his award, and in 1999 Kim became the winner of this award. Later, four years later, he was also a laureate of the artistic Tsarskoselskaya Prize.

2007 was special for Julia. It was this year that Yuliy Mihailov distinguished himself on two outstanding awards: "Recognition-2006" (in the nomination "Best Bard of the Year") and "Theatrical Musical Heart" (in the nomination "The Best Text of Songs").

After two years of calm, he received the prize "Bar-Oscar" at the festival in Kazan. And more recently, in 2015, he again won a prize among poets.
