IVF in Israel

With infertility for various reasons, about 15% of married couples are facing. In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is becoming an increasingly popular means of treating infertility in the world - in 2010, already four million children were born thanks to IVF. At the same time, due to accumulated experience, ECO in Israel has the highest percentage of successful fertilization.

This method can be shown in the following pathologies, making it impossible for natural fertilization:

  • Adherence around the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
  • Infection of Fallopian tubes.
  • Inadequate number of spermatozoa in sperm or volume of sperm.
  • The so-called "psychological infertility" (subconscious fear of a sexual act or act of fertilization).
  • Dysfunction or partial blockage of fallopian tubes.
  • Infertility for unknown reasons.
  • Two-sided violation of patency of the fallopian tubes.
  • Absence of normal sperm excretion (for example, in the absence of a seed canal).

Contraindications to IVF are tumors, inflammations, neoplasms, and also experienced traumas or congenital malformations, which make it impossible for a normal bearing of the fetus.

Preparing for IVF

The appointment and conduct of Eco are preceded by examinations - blood and urine analysis, X-ray study of the fallopian tubes and uterus, RAR swab from the cervix, ultrasound.

Directly IVF procedure in Israel is preceded by the woman taking hormonal preparations that cause increased egg maturation and hyperovulation. Drugs can be taken intravenously or in tablets. Specific types and dosage of hormones are prescribed individually for each woman, depending on her age, causes of infertility and other individual characteristics of the body.

ECO is an act of connecting the ovules of a husband and wife outside the uterine cavity, under laboratory conditions. Extraction of the female egg is performed surgically, under general anesthesia or with the use of sedatives. After surgery, antibiotics may be prescribed to avoid infection.

Male eggs are obtained by masturbation or a special sexual act (using a medical condom or interrupted coition) and collecting the seed in a special vessel. In the practice of some clinics, sperm can be brought with them from home within two hours after its allocation. After this, the sperm undergoes a process of improvement in the laboratory: washing, for isolating spermatozoa from the seminal fluid, and selecting the most healthy spermatozoa. In the case of pathologies that make it impossible for a normal ejaculation (lack of a vas deferens or a male sterilization by a vasectomy), sperm production can be performed surgically.

The process of fertilization takes place in a capsule (test tube) in which an egg and sperm are placed. In this case, the microenvironment in the capsule (humidity, temperature, etc.) maximally simulates the conditions of the vagina. When the oocyte begins to divide (usually in 16-18 hours), the embryo is artificially divided into several parts.

On the IVF procedure a woman needs to come on an empty stomach (not to eat food for six hours and water for four hours before the procedure) and to refrain from sexual contacts the day before. Also, in order for the uterus to be ready to receive the fetus, it is necessary to take special hormones for several days.

IVF procedure in Israel

The transfer of embryos into the uterine cavity takes place three to five days after fertilization.

At the age of the woman about forty years and is more senior, and also at presence of other potential complexities, in a cavity of a uterus all received embryos are transplanted. More young women have enough transplants for a minimum of (1-2) embryos.

At the same time, genetic research of embryos is carried out, during which the sex of the future child and its genetic predisposition to any diseases are determined.

The procedure of IVF in Israel takes only ten minutes. It is completely painless, therefore does not require anesthesia: the capsule is inserted into the uterus, where the embryos are released from the capsule. If desired, the husband may be next to his wife. After that, for several more hours, the woman remains in the hospital under medical supervision to make sure that everything went without complications. The success of fertilization is becoming known in two weeks. In most cases, the result of IVF in Israel is successful. If the result is negative, the attempt can be repeated, for the reliability of transplanting a larger number of embryos.

After artificial insemination, it is recommended to refrain from physical activity in order to avoid side effects.

In some difficult cases for artificial insemination, additional procedures can be applied - the introduction of the sperm into the egg "manually", more precisely by means of a special tool.
