In America, closed the news site, which denied the fact of climate change

Weather Channel closed the Breitbart.com news website for denying the facts of climate change.

How it all began

The epic began when the news site Breitbart published an article titled "Global Temperature. Frozen silence of panic-mongers about the climate. " Largely based on the story in Mail Online, the author of the article tried to prove that the global temperature on the planet has dropped since the middle of the year. If we follow this logic, then all the facts about climate change are simply a grandiose hoax. "Breitbart" supplemented the article video with the Weather Channel with the participation of meteorologist Keith Parker, trying to prove his point of view.

Nevertheless, all those who follow the news from the world of science, there is no doubt that climate change is a sad fact. It would be difficult to find any authoritative climate scientist who would not agree with this.

But the careful selection of facts and the tone of the article on Breitbart cast doubt on the validity of climate change for all who forgot about critical thinking or did not want to look for additional information.

Weather Channel Response

As you can imagine, the Weather Channel was not too happy about the fact that his video was used in Breitbart. Moreover, in their video, in fact, it was about La Niña - the positive weather stage of El Niño. There is nothing strange about the average temperature of the sea surface in the eastern and central Pacific Ocean between El Niño and La Niña.

In response, the Weather Channel issued an article titled "Note to Breitbart: The Earth is not cooling, climate change is real, so stop using the video to mislead the readers." In addition, Keith Parker also released a video that explains step by step why the whole article on "Breitbart" was deceptive: "That's the thing: science does not care about your opinion. Falsifying and twisting the facts will not change our future. The fact that the Earth is warming up is a fact, not someone's opinion. I appeal to scientists: let's make facts louder than opinions. "
