Let us leave "the advice" alone, how to drive out this evil spirit. In addition to jokes: if the computer itself turns on or off - it means that there is a material problem of hardware or software properties.

Let's start with the programs. Here the cause of spontaneous switching can be rooted in the BIOS settings of the motherboard. At the very beginning of the computer boot, we send it to the BIOS and go to the power management settings. Here it is necessary to disable:

• Alarm clock, i. Turn on the computer on a schedule;
• Reaction to mouse movement or pressing a button, and as a whole - an interruption from any connected device;
• The execution of the commands received on the network for inclusion;
• Automatic control, in which the computer itself turns on, if the power suddenly disappears and then resumes.

There is also the option of resetting all the parameters set to the default state - if you can not find the above options, by which the computer turns on itself, it does not succeed.

In the BIOS, you can also set two options for hibernation. The first, S1, is the usual, standard economical. The second, S3, leaves only part of the motherboard and RAM in operation. All the rest is de-energized. This option most efficiently saves electricity. But it takes more time to get out of it than from S1. It may seem that the computer itself is turned on.

Due to hardware problems, the computer turns itself on in case of a malfunction of the power button's contacts: it may accidentally trigger itself. In those cases when the computer periodically turns off without disconnecting the connection from the outlet, accidentally pressing the power button or the mains failure, the reasons are primarily hardware.

The main one is the automatic protection reaction to the CPU temperature excess. The reason is banal: dust. And from the further mysticism is perfectly helped by no less banal "general cleaning" of coolers, compartments of the system unit and components of its "stuffing". If the computer has been in operation for several years, change the thermal grease that helps the radiator cool the CPU. Install the system unit so that nothing obstructs the air circulation.

As one of the measures it is necessary to reinstall all the components of the system unit, carefully checking the quality of the connections to the connectors.
