Hypothalamic syndrome

Hypothalamic syndrome occurs due to neuroinfections, craniocerebral trauma, intoxications, brain tumors, cerebral circulatory insufficiency, endocrine diseases. There is a disease in the form of vegetative-vascular and neuroendocrine disorders, thermoregulatory disorders
And sleep, disorders of fat, mineral, protein and water metabolism.

Hypothalamic syndrome in adolescents is expressed in general weakness, increased fatigue, pain in the heart, lack of air, unstable stools. Also asymmetry of arterial pressure, tachycardia, tremor of fingers and eyelids, propensity to allergic reactions is observed. In most cases, the disease is a consequence of the factors causing the hypothalamic syndrome. Treatment is therefore mainly pathogenetic.

Therapy includes the use of drugs that affect the state of parasympathetic tone, resorption and dehydration. During the period
Exacerbations and with slow processes, hypothalamic syndrome is treated
Anti-inflammatory drugs. In case the disease is secondary
Manifestation, the main disease is treated. If the cause
Disease is intoxication with heavy metals, alcohol or
Drugs, detoxification is carried out. For this, intravenously injected
Sodium chloride solution, glucose, sodium thiosulfate. Recommended
General restorative therapy: calcium preparations, vitamins of group C and B.

In all cases, the hypothalamic syndrome is treated by affecting the mechanisms that underlie autonomic disorders. A good result is the use of adrenolytics, central and peripheral (raunatin, reserpine, aminazine, carbidine). The use of these agents quickly removes catecholamines from the central nervous system and adrenergic nerves. Sympatolytic effect has ganglion blocking agents (dicoline, pentamine, dimecoline, benzohexonium). All patients are recommended to limit the intake of excess fat and protein in the body. Very useful are warm carbonic baths and sea air.

Patients should limit external factors that cause hypothalamic syndrome. It is necessary to avoid physical and neuro-psychological overstrain, work at night. With frequent and severe vegetative disorders, disability can occur. Such patients can be placed 3 group of disability with regard to their main profession. Drugs are prescribed to patients based on their individual characteristics. Typically, in parallel with the main therapy prescribed sedative drugs: tincture of motherwort, Valerian extracts, antidepressants and tranquilizers in injections or tablets. If necessary, symptomatic remedies are prescribed: papaverine, diabazole, nicotinic acid, euffilin, diuretin.

The disease is directly related to the reproductive function of women, which leads to secondary polycystic ovary, endocrine infertility, serious perinatal and obstetric complications. Neuroendocrine hypothalamic syndrome occurs due to damage to the midbrain. In women, it often appears in the pathological course of pregnancy, after abortion or pathological birth. In this case, disruption of adaptation and
Hypothalamic stress. Therapy consists in the sanation of foci of infection,
Diet therapy, the normalization of the rest and labor regime, bringing the body weight into noma.
In most cases, the use of medications recommended
Improve cerebral circulation.
