Naturally, the Windows uninstaller leaves much to be desired, so after this, you will have to clean the registry yourself or use some third-party application for this.

On the other hand, in some cases, the issue of how to uninstall Kaspersky, if you forget the password, can be solved using your own antivirus removal tool, which you need to run as administrator and select the full uninstallation in the uninstaller window. Next, you need to check all the items, including licenses, activation information, quarantine, backup storage and iSwift data. The removal process is quite long, at the end it is absolutely necessary to reboot the system.

Uninstall using special methods

But, as it turns out, there is one method that allows you to bypass the lock. How to delete Kaspersky if I forgot my password?

To start, you need to reboot the system in safe mode, and then in the "Explorer" find the AVP file that has the EXE extension (usually located in the Kaspersky Lab directory of the Program Files directory). This object needs to be renamed, for example, to 1.exe, then reboot the system in normal mode and start the renamed file from Explorer.

Next, in the settings you need to disable the usual protection, self-protection and password protection. After saving the changes to the icon menu in the system tray, you need to exit the program and in the "Explorer" again rename the original file to AVP.exe. After a reboot, you can safely remove the antivirus by any of the above methods.

In some cases, you can use the special utility Kaspersky Lab All Products Password Reset to simplify operations. Just run it on behalf of the administrator, and in the appeared window of the command console, press any key to reset. After the reboot, the password disappears, and the removal will not be difficult.

However, it is better to remove software products with the help of specific programs such as iObit Uninstaller, Revo Uninstaller or Crystalidea Uninstall Tool, which will remove not only the main antivirus files, but also residual components, including all entries in the system registry.

Instead of the total
