How to tie a line with a fishing line and with a braid?

Almost all anglers sooner or later, but the question arises as to how to tie a line with a fishing line. It would seem that there is nothing complicated. But, as practice shows, not everyone knows how to knit strong knots. This is a whole science, without which you can not assemble a snap and you can not tie a hook.

What are the nodes and what do they serve?

So, without knowing the basics of knitting knots and loops, it is almost impossible to attach a hook or leash to the main line. And this can turn out to be a real problem. Nodes are needed in any gear, whether float, bottom fishing rod or spinning. They serve to fasten the elements of the rig with each other. But if it's more or less clear how to tie a line with a fishing line, then it's much more complicated with a cord or a braid. That is why one knot is not enough to know. To attach different materials, you need to use different methods. One way to tie a conventional fishing line with a monolayer, and completely different for a braid or cord. To the nodes there are also some requirements. First, they must be strong. Secondly, small and neat. The knot must pass through the access rings on the rod and do not interfere with casting.

It is also worth noting that in modern gears, not only the line is used, but also the braid and the cord. Therefore, fishing knots should be firmly connected with each other. In order to decide how to link a fishing line to a braid, it is necessary to be able to knit several strong knots. Of course, it's not necessary to know all of them, three or four will suffice. Below are just a few of the most popular methods of fixing different types of fishing line and cords.

Grapvine node

This node is also called "double fishing". The fact is that it consists of two nodules, each of which is made directly around the free end of the second. But meanwhile, in the finished form you will not immediately understand how it is made. If you need to determine how to link monofilament with a fishing line or braid, then this option will be in place. Its durability and practicality of censures does not cause. To connect two fishing lines between the Grapvine node, you need to do the following:

  1. We put two segments parallel to each other.
  2. Turn one end in two full turns around both lines in the area where they fit together.
  3. Then we pass it through the loops in the opposite direction and tighten. One node is ready.
  4. Take the second end of the line and also make two turns towards the first nodule.
  5. We pass it through the windings and also tighten it.
  6. Now it remains only to pull the pieces of the line to cut the knots together.

Node "Counter Eight"

This node is very reliable and yet easy. As a rule, it is used to connect two braids together. But it is also used in other cases. This node helps to resolve the situation when it is necessary to determine how to link the line with the braid as much as possible firmly and reliably. It is easy to run it, for this you must follow the following algorithm:

  1. We knit a simple eight on one of the two plaits being joined. We relax it.
  2. Now we take the second braid and do the same, but on the opposite side parallel to the first one. At the same time, the second end must pass freely through the loops of the figure-eight. It turns out that the first eight is doubled.
  3. We tighten the resulting node.

It is important that both ends are opposite to each other. This node never slips. It reliably holds on to the line.

"Perfect Loop"

This is the easiest way to make a small loop on the end of the line or braid. Usually this node is used to connect the details of the rigging. For example, if you need to think about how to link a fishing line to a fishing line, then you can use the fastener "loop in the loop". It consists of two such nodes. They are done as follows:

  1. At the end of the line a loop is formed.
  2. On top of the first we make one more loop. We skip the end of the line under the windings and fill it with the first loop.
  3. We pull up the upper loop. It must pass through the bottom. It turns out "hammer".
  4. Tighten the knot.

The Snake Knot

This site is especially revered by fans of fly fishing. Initially, it was used to solve the problem of how to link a line to a fishing line. Currently, its use is more significant. It is ideal for attaching braids with a fishing line. With it, connect leashes from monofilament. It conforms in the following way:

  1. Cross between the two lines that are going to connect.
  2. One end wrap around the second more than 6 times. Stretch the remaining piece behind the line.
  3. Take the second end and do the same, but in the opposite direction. The remainder of the line should also be threaded behind the turns. If everything is done correctly, both ends will be near, at the place of overlapping of two lines.
  4. Pull the knot and cut all the excess.

"Nail knot"

This, perhaps, is one of the most important fishing knots. It is perfectly suited in situations where it is necessary to deal with the problem of how to tie a cord to a fishing line. This site is very practical. It is useful to use for attaching to the fishing tackle of the backing (extension cord). If to speak in general, then "nailing knot" you can attach any types of woods and weaving. It is comfortable and strong. To link a "nail node", you need to do the following:

  1. Two pieces of fishing line overlap with each other.
  2. We take a nail and put it to the point of their crossing. One end of the line, as a rule, is thinner, wrapped around it once.
  3. Then we make six more turns.
  4. We pass the end of the line through the nail and pull up the bundle.
  5. Hold the line, gently pull the stud.
  6. Dampen with water and pull the ends in different directions. Cut any excess.

«Surgical knot»

If there was a problem and it is necessary to determine how to link the line to the shocker, then the "surgical junction" will help. Often it is used to attach two pieces of monofilament. So, to perform this node, you need to perform the following actions:

  1. Put both pieces of fishing line tightly together. Their length should be enough to tie a running double knot.
  2. To form a loop it will be necessary to use both lines simultaneously.
  3. Holding both ends in the hand, letting them through the loop, this motion is repeated one more time.
  4. Having moistened the line with water, tighten the knot tightly. The extra end is cut off.

Knuth knot

This is one of the oldest known knots. It provides the most reliable fastening, while maintaining the strength of the line. It is ideal for knitting leashes and hooks. Used especially when the diameter of the fishing line is less than the thickness of the eyelet. It conforms as follows:

  1. We pass one end of the line through the eye of the hook or swivel.
  2. Then, making a noose, we again pass it in the same direction through the eyelet.
  3. We hold the finger of both parts of the line. At the same time, its short end should lie in the direction of the hook.
  4. We pull the loop and wrap it simultaneously from both sides around the hook fore-end.
  5. To tighten the knot, pull with all the force for the short end of the line.
  6. We moisten with water and once again tighten, but already on both sides. Cut off the remainder of the short end. This site is the best option for those who do not know how to tie a line with a leash.
