How to prepare a ceiling for painting? Before starting work, the surface is cleaned of the old coating. Skin all the irregularities are cleaned, and the putty is closed and rubbed with cracks, potholes. Then the prepared ceiling is cleaned of dust and must be primed. Primer requires time for complete drying (as a rule, at least a day). If on the surface of the ceiling after carrying out all the preparatory work, dark spots appear, then they must be stained with the paint chosen for finishing.
For smooth coloring of the ceiling surface, the moment of tool selection is important. The roller should have a long and even nap of quality synthetic or natural fibers. As already mentioned, the choice of paint is also important for good ceiling coverage.
The most qualitative are acrylic, having a latex base, and silicone paints. Less suitable for this purpose is silicate paint, which falls worse on the ceiling. Painting should begin only after you carefully prepare the materials. The paint should be completely homogeneous, and for mixing it is recommended to use a special mixer or a nozzle on the drill.
How to start painting the ceiling? Everything is very simple. It is necessary to thoroughly moisten the roller in the paint and with rapid movements, as much as possible to unroll the paint composition on a previously prepared surface.
