The fifteenth ship, built according to the project 956 "Sarych" - destroyer "Restless". In NATO, it is known by the code name Sovremenny Class Destroyer. The laid destroyer was in April 1987, and launched in June 1990. In the fleet since February 1992.

Getting Started

From the beginning of construction it was assumed that the future destroyer "Restless" would serve as part of the 192th brigade of ships in the Pacific, but later the directive of the commander-in-chief of the navy arrived on transferring this ship to the Baltic Fleet, and in 1992 that was exactly what happened. Destroyer "Restless", thus justifying his name, stood on the repair, after which in August 1992 was transferred to the Baltic Fleet in the 128th Brigade (12th Division of Missile Ships). Here the service was straightened out, and in 1994 the destroyer conquered the prize of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy. Ten days in a row the destroyer "Restless" accompanied the visit of the Queen of Great Britain to St. Petersburg, for which he was awarded with an honorary letter from the President of the Russian Federation.

Despite the relapse of bad luck, when a cartridge in the trunk of an assault rifle exploded on a torpedo boat, the service continued successfully. In 1995, Baltops-1995 exercises were held, where the destroyer Bespokoyny proved well, the Baltic Fleet hopes and support. Then from Denmark, he went on a joint voyage with the American "Taylor" and the Danish "Hvidbjörner" across the Kattegat Strait. Next was work with a German submarine, successful artillery firing. Exercises 1996-1997

Last year's successes made the destroyer the flagship in the exercises Baltops-96. As part of the ship's strike group, the destroyer Bespokoyny, the photo of which was presented here, made a field trip, the exercises were held to support the landing group, then the air defense, where seven missile targets were hit. As a result, he received the prize of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy for artillery preparation.

The following year, the exercises began in June, where the destroyer "Restless" (photos from these exercises are also interesting) worked with a Polish submarine, participated in thirty major episodes in the exercises. On anti-aircraft and artillery training took the first place of the Navy at the end of the year. The same summer, the destroyer of the destroyer visited Kiel, Plymouth, Zeebrugge, Den Helder, passed three thousand nautical miles. Exercises 1999-2001

In May 1999, the destroyer visited Stockholm, where he first practiced rescue exercises together with the Swedes, then opened the excursion season, during which nearly three thousand people, led by Defense Minister Bjorn von Sydow, visited the ship. NATO's aggression in Yugoslavia prevented further plans, so Germany, Denmark and Poland "Restless" this time did not visit.

In October, the president of Belarus visited him on board, when the ship participated in the rocket shooting. In 2001, the Baltops exercise was held again, where the "Restless", the destroyer born in 1990, once again won first place, hit air targets the best. Old age

The spring of 2004 presented the first bell to the crew who loved the ship: when the destroyer went to sea, he suddenly lost a course, and had to return it in tow. The destroyer always fired artillery and always with good results. Nevertheless, the decision was made, and the destroyer "Restless" was decommissioned by order of the commander. In the press of 2012 and 2013, a lot of unconfirmed information was published, and even the work on the restoration of the ship - from electromechanics and navigational equipment to rocket and artillery armament and communications, was announced, with the hope that by 2015 the destroyer "Restless ", The modernization of which will be completed.

There is an opinion that the only, but a big mistake our shipbuilders at the design stage of the ship was the choice of installation of the boiler and turbine. The gas turbine plant, they say, would have been better. However, in this situation, "Restless" is at times better and more powerful than all world analogues. In the absence of air cover, the destroyer of this project, after spending all anti-ship missiles, will be the master of the situation against any surface ship, any country and any generation.

Armament

Especially impressive is the weaponry of the destroyer: two "Hurricanes" (anti - aircraft missile launchers) that can hit targets in the air at a height of up to fifteen kilometers; Two pairs of rapid-fire cannons (caliber 130 millimeters), which "spit out" six tons of metal in one minute; Six-barrel automatic 30 mm artillery systems in the number of four pieces (AK-630M) ... Experts are sure that any direct duel with the enemy combat ship destroyer "Restless" will win, including even American warships - the newest, the fourth generation.

Who is there

In peacetime, the crew of the destroyer is limited - only 296 people, and in military this figure is increased to 358, among them 25 officers and 48 midshipmen. The rest of the crew are sailors, a daily headache. Not because they are anything bad. Simply sailors for the most part serve an urgent service, that is, a year, just like soldiers in the ground forces. In the Soviet era, the Navy served not even two, but all three years. And it was right.

Year flies very quickly, and experts are trained very quickly. Modern ships, especially military, are technically complex.
