How often should I wash an office cup for coffee?

In any office, you can meet 2 types of people: those who carefully wash their mugs at work, and those who rinse it with water, leaving traces of tea or coffee. There are, of course, also those who leave the tea leaves or coffee grounds on the bottom, until there is a stormy life.

The most scrupulous are sent to the kitchen to wash the mug with a common sponge, but few of them think that it can be much more harmful.

To wash or not to wash - that is the question

Think about what bacteria can potentially accumulate on the mug: only those that fall into it from the mouth of a person drinking from it. It turns out that if no one except you uses this container, then the microbes left on the rim are not terrible for you.

And now think about how many cups are washed with a single public sponge? Probably, you can not find a bigger hotbed for bacteria. Every time using a public sponge, you risk leaving other microbes on your mug. If you are puzzled by this fact, there are several ways out. You can have a separate brush for your dishes or just rinse the cups with hot water.

What will help?

A good way to remove bacteria from a sponge is a microwave. Just put it there for 30 seconds in a weak mode before use. So the cup and the sponge will be clean.
