Many players asked to be sent to the front during the war, but the leadership wanted to keep the best athletes of the country, because the team continued to train, no matter what. In 1942, CDKA athletes, who had secondary education, went to the military faculty at the Institute of Physical Education. 16 players after graduation received the deserved rank of junior lieutenants.
