Hazard identification: basic concepts

This term means the establishment in the process of labor of hazards, the identification of their magnitude and significance. Hazard identification and risk assessment are interrelated. This work takes into account negative events and accidents. Risk assessment is performed on the basis of the following stages:

  • Factor recognition;
  • Determination of risk;
  • decision;
  • Selection and implementation of the event.

Obligations of the employer

In the prevention of emergencies, compliance with safety rules plays a huge role. At the same time, they are not only employees, but also employers:

  • Organization of medical examination of employees;
  • At medical examinations, the preservation of the place of work and the salaries of employees.
