"Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone": actors, roles and interesting facts

The first book about a young orphan wizard unexpectedly became a whole world event in the field of literature. And her screen adaptation was only a matter of time. The premiere took place in 2001, collecting a record number of viewers from the screens, and from now on every subsequent screen version evoked more and more interest. It is about the very first film of the saga - "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone", the actors of which instantly got crowds of fans around the world - then history will go.

Just Harry

Harry Potter was the most ordinary ten-year-old orphan boy living in the home of his own aunt, whose family consisted of a husband and son. His parents, from the words of his aunt, long ago died in a car accident. Friends of the young Harry was not, and the only relatives because of his "abnormality" treated him like a servant. And they put him in a closet under the stairs.

But their whole "normal life" collapsed overnight, when Harry unexpectedly for all and himself received a letter. And although he was immediately taken away, the letters began to arrive every day until the Dursley family decided to escape far away from here, taking Harry with them. And in a house where no one would seem to find them, on the night when Harry was eleven years old, a man named Hagrid appeared.

This is the film "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (the actors were selected under the strict control of Joan Rowling, but more on that later) and gaining their plot lines. We are waiting for a fascinating journey into the fairy tale, where there are centaurs, trolls and even a huge three-headed dog named Pushok. This is a story about kindness, friendship, mutual assistance and loyalty ...

"Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone": actors, roles and interesting facts

The role of Harry Potter (in the Russian dubbing - Alexey Elistratov), the character for which, in fact, everything was started, went to the British beginning (at that time) actor - Daniel Radcliff. Before his stellar role, Daniel managed to play in the film based on the novel by Charles Dickens "David Copperfield." The future "Harry" was born in London, which allowed him to participate in the casting, because the mandatory requirement of Joanne Rowling was that her characters were played only by English actors. According to Dan himself, he was not a big admirer of books about a young wizard (at that time three novels already appeared) and fell in love with his character already in the process of filming in the film "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (the dubbing actors were selected no less carefully).

But the role of his loyal friend and partner went to Rupert Grint (in dubbing - Olga Syrina). Interestingly, he also auditioned for the role of Potter, but he was offered a completely different, no less stellar. Rupert even composed rap himself about how he wants to become an actor, and on August 8, 2000, it was officially announced that the role was his.

And, finally, the image of "all the annoying know-it-all" Hermione (dubbing - Lina Ivanova) fell under the creative onslaught of Emma Watson. Previously, the actress participated in theatrical circles and spoke to her classmates. And she also voiced several characters from the Disney series of cartoons. Which, of course, helped her to get even more into the image of her character. And the role of Hermione in the film "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (the actors, by the way, participated in the filming with great pleasure) became for her truly fatal.

The school enemy of the above-mentioned trio (Draco Malfoy) was played by Tom Felton with a voice in the dubbing of Nikolai Bystrov. The role was played so well that after the premiere he was feared and very often called. Simultaneously with the film "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (actors, by the way, who played the main children's roles, went on to continue their film career), he starred in the film "Anna and the King."

The naive good-natured Hagrid was embodied by Robbie Coltrane (voiced by Rogvold Sukhoverko). He began his cinematic career at the age of thirty and was able to play a huge number of not only comedic, but also serious roles. He is one of the most sought-after actors in the UK. However, our viewer knows him mainly as Hagrid.

Teacher transfiguration, Professor McGonagall (voice - Lyudmila Ilyina), became one of the most famous actresses in the world Maggie Smith. It was Minerva McGonagall, along with Professor Dumbledore, who left little Harry with his aunt. Despite the severity, the professor for his wisdom and justice has always enjoyed great respect not only among teachers, but also among students.

And finally Albus Dumbledore (duplicated by Vsevolod Abdulov). He was known not only as an actor, but also as a director, musician and writer Richard Harris. In his arsenal are such prestigious awards as "Grammy" and "Golden Globe." And the role of the great wizard Dumbledore was brilliant.

And you can not help remembering the Potions teacher Professor Severus Snape, who, sadly, Alan Rickman, now deceased (voice in the Russian version of Alexei Ryazantsev), became, unfortunately. His level of play was appreciated not only by the audience, but by many film critics, and the role of the professor gave him an even greater turn of popularity and audience love.

The creators of the film "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone"

The film (the actors, as it can already be seen, very diverse) would have been impossible without the production group. From the very beginning, the director's chair was named Steven Spielberg. But during the negotiations, the parties did not agree in the vision of the characters' characters. After careful selection, his place was taken by Chris Columbus, known for the films "One Home" (1990) and "Mrs. Doubtfire" (1993). Music for the painting was written by a talented composer John Williams. Not less important role played and huge scenery of incredible beauty and realism. The same goes for the selection of costumes. But, unfortunately, it is simply impossible to enumerate all of them.

Summarizing

And, summing up a kind of result, one can not fail to note one detail that relates to the event called "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" - the film (the actors, as they say, laid out to the full) turned out to be truly childish and magical. And it is interesting not only to the younger generation, but also to adults.
