Grapes "arcade": biological characteristics and medicinal properties

Grapes "arcade" belongs to the group of table grapes. The variety belongs to the early. The fruit ripening period is about 125 days.

The grape variety "arcadia" has quite large clusters from 500 to 900 g (sometimes up to two kg) of cylindroconical form. Berries large size (28x23 mm and larger) to 15 g, have an ovoid shape. Arcadia - grapes, characterized by a low sugar content, which is about 15%, while the acidity level - up to 6 g / l. Full ripening of the berries provides a light nutmeg flavor. Due to the thick skin on the berry, the transportability of the grapes is quite high. Grapes "arcade" is characterized by high yield, in this respect, he is a record holder.

This is a fairly stable plant. Can withstand the temperature drop to minus 21 degrees. Grapes "arcadia" is well established, has a powerful root system, intensive growth rate, high fruiting.

Care for grapes in the early years mainly consists of weeding, loosening and, of course, feeding. Pour grapes "arcade" is only two or three times for the whole summer. In the first year of planting pruning should not be done. In the following years it is necessary to pinch shoots, break off stepchildren, and also thin out the leaves. These procedures are necessary for the normal nutrition of fruit-bearing shoots and the formation of a bush. On the vine bush, the shoots begin to break from the bottom and up to the sleeve.

Thanks to the plucking, the plant does not grow in length, the nutrients are transported to the inflorescences. This procedure is carried out a few days before flowering. When the bush thickens the stepson, yields are significantly reduced.

Two weeks before the ripening of the grapes, the leaves that shield them from the sun must be removed. This procedure ensures rapid ripening of berries and increases the percentage of carbohydrates in them. Grapes are pruned in autumn, after falling leaves. During this period, you can spend and fertilizing grapes fertilizer, under the digging. It is best to make fertilizer in a shallow trench (depth about 60 cm), which is excavated next to the bushes. Top dressing should enter the root zone of the plant. On the m2 of the area occupied by the grapevine, take 8 kg of overgrown manure and 100 g of wood ash.

Grape "arcade" is not distinguished by its high winter hardiness, so with the onset of frost, the cut vine is covered with a roofing felt. Shelter is fixed. Winter covered with snow. With the advent of spring, shelter is removed from the vines. This procedure is best done late in the evening or in cloudy weather. After this, it is desirable to treat the vine with fungicides.

Many amateurs are faced with the problem of drying and withering of grapes. There are many reasons that cause these processes, but the main one is fungal diseases. Quite often register mildew. As a result of the defeat of the crest of the cluster, the conductance of the vessels is disturbed by this pathogen, as a result of which the entire bunch desiccates below the lesion focus. The withering of the bunches can also be due to the inflection of the crests during the ripening of the grapes. With this problem, there are those who cultivate hybrid varieties of grapes.

Buylovidic leafhopper (paresis of bunches) can also provoke the drying and withering of the grapes. This disease causes a violation of metabolic processes in the crest of the bunch. Most often paralysis of bunches is recorded when the berries ripen, when the sugar level in them is from 7 to 12%. The first sign of the disease is the appearance of small dark-brown spots localized on the crest or lateral branches. These processes lead to a disruption in the metabolism and withering of the bunch. The affected crests break off. To combat this pathology, solutions of calcium chloride (0.75%), manganese chloride (0.75%) are used. Spray the plant three times at intervals of 10 days.
