The peak of popularity of knitted socks and gaiters fell to 60-70 e, then they went not so much dancers as fashionable women, choosing thin knitwear and putting them on slightly lowered, under the dress and white shoes.

In the 80s, aerobics was associated with gaiters - slender blondes jumped in the TV in short shorts, downed gaiters and massive running shoes. As an element of the wardrobe, leggings for dances were not used.

And only at the turn of 2000 street dancers and imitators of their culture in fashion introduced knitted leggings as a must have autumn-spring wardrobe. Girls with extra long legs consider it their duty to wear them both under boots and under the shoes, visually outlining the silhouette of the legs. Leggings with both heels and sneakers look good. About the color gamut of speech does not go - leggings on shoes - this is exactly the part of the image that can be the most vivid shades.

What should be professional dance gaits?

Especially attached to this attribute is not only dancers, but also runners, athletes and even ... tourists. After all, comfortable tight leggings keep the ankle from blowing during long trips, protect shoes from contamination.

In addition to aesthetics, leggings for practicing sports dancing should have practicality, payload. It is mandatory to wear gaiters in winter in the dance halls and in summer - on open dance floors. There are special compression gaiters that support tendons - but do not need to indulge in such unnecessary things.

Leggings for dancing should sit tightly on the leg, but at the same time do not squeeze it too much. In addition to keeping warm, the foot in them should not sweat. Also worth paying attention to the marquess and ease of care: bright pink and pastel products, of course, are beautiful, but the amount of washing per week increases proportionally.

The composition of the product must include at least 50% of natural materials - wool or cotton. Do not recommend taking full woolen leggings - they last longer dry.
