Road to the KHL

Kuryanov Anton Alekseevich was born on March 11, 1983 in the Kazakh city of Ust-Kamenogorsk. At an early age started hockey in the sports school "Torpedo", and in 1995, together with a group of young hockey players and his coach Sergei Gersonsky moved to Omsk. Since 1998, the Russian began to perform in the Youth Hockey League in the "Omsk Hawks." However, to break into the main team "Vanguard" forward immediately failed and in 2001 moved to "Mostovik" on loan, having played in the Kurgan club one season.

Returning to Omsk a year later, Kuryanov played for the second lineup of the "Vanguard" another season and under his curtain of the season was drawn to participate in 3 games of the basics. But he did not manage to convince the coaching staff of the "hawks" and moved to the Novosibirsk "Siberia" for a year. In the new club, Anton received playing time, but not enough to prove himself. As a result, for 26 meetings in the asset of the forward was only 5 points.

10 years in the "Vanguard"

Nevertheless, the year in Novosibirsk allowed to reconsider its decision on the player from the side of "Vanguard", and the next season Anton Kuryanov - hockey player, brought up in the youth team of the Omsk club, conducted as part of the Omsk. The debut championship in the "hawks" turned out to be quite productive for the Russian - for 50 matches in the regular championship Anton was able to score 13 points and brought "Avangard" to the playoffs.

A year later the striker did not lower the bar, having played all the same 50 meetings, but increasing the number of points scored by half. At the same time, he won the title of champion of Russia. Thanks to the national success, "Vanguard" took part in the European Champions Cup, where one of the pucks was abandoned by Kuryanov and helped the Omsk to win a prestigious trophy. The desire to develop has not faded from the player and after the international success - already in the 2006/07 season the striker reached the level of 46 points, after which, due to frequent minor injuries to the ice, the player began to go out less often.

Despite this, Kuryanov showed a consistently high ability to score, and in the championship of 2011/12, when the Russian championship was reorganized into the Continental Hockey League, became one of the key players in winning the "Vanguard" title of champion of the League and the owner of the Cup of the Continent. In the next two seasons, a series of injuries knocked the hockey player out of the playing rhythm, and he began to give up his position in the team.

Return to Omsk

In 2013, losing the title of key player of "Vanguard", the beginning of the season hockey player held in the "Tractor". In Chelyabinsk Anton Kuryanov did not manage to start playing - for 12 matches he was able to mark only one productive pass. But the Omsk club, remembering the former merits of the player, agreed to return it back. Back in the "hawks", the Russian had not so much playing time, but appeared regularly on the ice.

As a result, in Omsk, the hockey player spent three more successful seasons, which for the team ended without trophies, but the striker himself received two pleasant gifts during the performance for the Omsk citizens. In June 2012, the wife of Anton Kuryanov, Eugene, gave birth to her husband's son, who was named Artyom, and two years later, in May 2014, the couple had a daughter - Sophia.

The transition to "Ugra"

After the end of the 2015/16 season, Kuryanov's agreement with Avangard was over, and the hockey player, having received an offer from Ugra, quickly agreed. The experienced striker fit into the club from Khanty-Mansiysk quite successfully - according to the results of the first 46 meetings on the player's account, there are 13 points.

However, in general, the team is not so successful - at the end of the championship "Ugra" takes only the penultimate place in the Eastern Conference and has long lost the chance to place in the playoffs. Nevertheless, for the next season, the coaching staff plans to retain as an experienced hockey player.

Playing in the Russian national team

Since 2004, Anton Kuryanov was regularly summoned to the national team. The debut in the Russian national team for a talented striker took place at the Cup Rosno, which the Russians confidently won, a year later consolidating success. From 2006 to 2008, the winners of several eurocourts, as well as the Cup of the First Channel, went to the treasury of the hockey player. And in 2009, Kuryanova was included in the World Cup in Switzerland.

Already in the first match in the world championship Anton was able to distinguish himself by an abandoned puck - in a meeting against Germany, the hockey player scored one of the five washers of the team. In the next round to consolidate a successful performance, the Russian was able to make an assist to Perezhogin in the game with France. As a result, the Russian team left the qualifying group from the first place, being the main contender for "gold."

In the group stage Anton Kuryanov added two more programs to his asset. Out on the ice striker and in all the games "on the flight." Although he failed to score effective results, but helped the team in a stubborn struggle to win gold medals and become a world champion.
