Formation of cognitive interest in children of primary school

The formation of cognitive interest is the encouragement by the teacher of the desire of the children to learn. The child's desire to receive and analyze information, to seek her application in her life is the most valuable result of her education. The formation of cognitive interest affects the character of the student, especially the development of his behavioral stereotypes. They, in turn, affect the level of education in the future. In the study of interest there are three most important roles:

  1. It can be regarded as the main reason for learning. The teacher should think about how to strengthen attention to his subject. In this case, the formation of cognitive interest in the probable direction of the future activity of the child is the goal of education.
  2. It is necessary for mastering knowledge: without attention to the subject, there will be no benefit from the lessons. Then the desire for knowledge is a means of learning.
  3. When the formation of cognitive interest is over, the student's curiosity becomes the result of the teacher's work.

When teaching it is necessary to develop in children the desire for knowledge, which is always accompanied by independence in the performance of tasks, enterprise, inclination to perform tasks more difficult, developing the child to a greater extent. Responsible attitude of the teacher to this duty has a beneficial effect on the formation of cognitive interests of junior schoolchildren. A positive attitude towards the educator promotes the development of optimism in the child, love for people, an active life position, creates a good mood.

  • Organization of classes that arouse the spirit of competition and initiative, playing the thematic scenes in which each has its own role.
  • Creation of a creative atmosphere so that children can translate their ideas into the current topic and receive encouragement for this.
  • Interest and respect of the teacher to the experience of students.

Formation of reader interest

Many parents experience because of the negative impact of computer progress on the lives of their young children and argue that their children are less likely to look at the book than they were when they were children. But studies in the direction of education show that children who regularly visit web pages with a regularity are interested in literature more often than other peers and prefer the most talented authors. The love of parents for reading is the best example for children. If a child feels useful, he acquires books with pleasure, goes to libraries, appreciates advice on reading books and more often shows independence in choosing a particular literature. If the child has cultural and well-read parents who are strict in his upbringing, he is inclined to describe relations in the family as friendly, based on mutual understanding.
