And although it is commonly believed that this kind of dermatosis can be present only in infants, but this is not so. Absolutely all people are prone to skin inflammations that can appear in the groin, in the lower abdomen, underarms, and just in the folds of the skin. They can be of different sizes, accompanied by burning, itching, just unpleasant sensations, but the most severe discomfort and pain is caused by redness in the groin.

Frontal Injury in Adults: the Causes of Appearance

1. Non-compliance with personal hygiene. It is necessary to wash out daily with the use of special means for intimate hygiene. Thus, the number of bacteria decreases, and indeed they are often the cause of the appearance of diaper rash in the groin in adults.

2. Severe sweating. This cause of intertrigo can also be eliminated by simply daily washing. In hot weather, it is better to carry out this procedure more often. Sweat corrodes the skin, and if we take into account that the friction of the parts of the body is strong in the perineum, this further aggravates the situation and promotes dermatosis.

3. Excess weight of the body. In view of the large amount of fatty deposits, there is a strong sweating, and when walking, hips rub against each other, so most often doctors hear complaints of diaper rash in the groin of adult fat people. We should try to fight weight loss, try not to allow it to increase, especially in the summer, when especially often there are diaper rashes in the groin in adults.

4. Close clothes. Most common diaper rash in the groin in adults are due to the wearing of things made from synthetic fabrics. In fact in this case the skin does not breathe, therefore there is an increased sweating. It is better to give up such things in favor of cotton, especially if it's a hot season. The same applies to overly tight and dense clothes, when worn, also the friction is too strong and the skin is quickly injured and inflamed.

5. Incorrectly selected underwear. Again we are talking about synthetics. Lingerie must be made of natural breathable tissues, since it directly contacts the genitals. It is necessary to choose this type of clothing strictly in size and to exclude the purchase of laundry with large and rough seams, which can injure the delicate skin during movement.

Treatment in adult diaper rash in the groin

Of course, the ideal option is to prevent this type of dermatosis. And this means - to observe hygiene, not to wear tight clothes and underwear from synthetic fabrics in the heat.

But what if the adult diaper has already appeared? You can use traditional medicine, which in such cases recommends using a decoction of chamomile, oak bark or St. John's wort, which can be purchased at each pharmacy. These plants have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, quickly remove irritation and inflammation of the skin, soothing and healing it.

Decoctions are prepared quite simply. Approximately a tablespoon of dried herbs or bark is filled with a glass of water and boiled for about half an hour. After cooling to room temperature and filtered. The resulting broth should be gently applied with cotton wool or gauze to lubricate the inflamed skin twice a day.

If you have formed intertrigo, it is necessary to ensure air access to the affected surface. For the duration of treatment, it is worth noting long walks or playing sports, because friction during the movement only aggravates the situation.

And do not forget about the good old powder! It perfectly helps in healing diaper rash not only in children, but also in adults.
