Fax paper

To date, fax paper is a very popular consumable, which is actively used in offices. Daily in modern enterprises with the help of fax send and receive hundreds of different certificates, bills, contracts. Since many documents are of particular importance, the fax paper must be of high quality and stored in appropriate conditions.

When choosing products, one should be guided by the criteria for the quality of paper for office devices. Many mistakenly believe that for a facsimile machine that works on ordinary paper, any sheets will do. It turns out that poor-quality materials not only reduce the productivity of machinery, but also with permanent use can lead to failure of the equipment.

When choosing products, it is necessary to take into account the parameters of smoothness and density, as well as the rigidity and moisture content. If the fax paper has a lower moisture content, then when unpacking it will begin to absorb it from the environment. As a result, the sheets will become wavy, and the working capacity of the equipment will decrease.

Fax paper is made of two types: thermal and conventional (for ink application).

The first type has a special thermal coating, which reacts to thermal energy. Unlike usual, thermal paper for printer or fax has its own peculiarities, which should be taken into account when buying.

The most important characteristic of this material is the dynamic sensitivity or the reaction rate for the formation of color under the influence of a certain volume of thermal energy. This ability is determined in terms of optical density. In order to keep the information legible for a long time, it is required to choose a paper with an optical density of not less than 1.05 D.

It is necessary to pay attention to the characteristic of the static sensitivity of thermal paper, which determines the maximum amount of thermal energy that is safe for sheets when printing.

The rate of heating of the sheets depends on the smoothness index. At a higher value of this parameter, the printed image is of better quality, and the thermal head of the fax machine can work longer.

The main criteria for choosing ordinary paper for faxing are the density and thickness of the sheets, the stiffness and the degree of their twisting. The clarity of the printed images depends on the density and thickness of the material. Stiffness and degree of twisting affect the shape of the material after printing. With a smaller value of the second parameter and greater rigidity, the sheets are more even.

Like office paper (color), faxing is characterized by whiteness. Quality sheets should have a high level of this indicator, because this will determine the quality of the print.

Materials for faxes are delivered in rolls, the width of which is 21 centimeters. The length of the winding can vary (depending on the manufacturer). The standard value of this parameter is about 20 meters.
