Examples of instinct. Self-preservation, hunger, survival
Instincts are an important structure of our personality, since our work, first of all, depends on our security. When we pull off the hand, we want to eat or study something new, we live, function and develop. Man, being born, lives by instincts or reflexes, which are incorporated by God in us. A small child does not yet realize that he is hungry, but when he touches the corners of his mouth, the baby begins reflexively looking for my mother's breast for satiety.
It is through instincts that we live in infancy. Then some of them become dominant, being the driving force throughout our life. Let's figure out what instincts are, and how they manifest in our lives.
Human instincts and adaptability
There is such a thing as adaptation. It indicates the levels of adaptation of a person, his social status, as well as a feeling of satisfaction or dissatisfaction with his life and himself. Adaptability of any person guarantees from the very childhood the features of nature and its personal orientation. It is instincts that are considered the first and main part of the human nature, which provides adaptability.
Is there a maternal and paternal instinct?
Many scientists have been puzzled over the notion of instinct, a lot of scientific work has been carried out. The well-known scientist Garbuzov structured the species of this gift of nature. He defined the basic instincts, but they did not include the concepts of the mother's and father's instinct. This result of his work was criticized by some, supported by some. It is generally accepted that these concepts are considered conditional instincts, since not all manifest themselves. Also, care for your offspring can be interpreted as an instinct for self-preservation or extension of the genus.
A slightly different phenomenon (and not always associated with the appearance of the baby) is the father's instinct. This is considered a more socially conditioned phenomenon, which is connected with the norms of modern society, which focuses on family values.
Types of instincts by Garbuzov, description
According to the concept of this professor, psychoneurologist and philosopher, seven basic instincts are singled out. These include: the instinct of procreation, self-preservation, freedom, research, preservation of dignity, altruistic and domination.
There are three dyads into which instincts are grouped. For example, dyad "A" is considered basic, it provides physical survival of the individual and species. This dyad includes two instincts: self-preservation and procreation. But the dyad "B", consisting of the instinct of research and freedom, provides for the primary socialization of man. The last, the third, the dyad "B", which includes the instinct of domination and preservation of dignity, ensures self-affirmation and self-preservation of a person in the psychosocial aspect. Together, all three dyads guarantee the adaptation of a person in real life.
Self-preservation as the basic instinct of man
At any cost and under any circumstances, people just want to survive to despair. With the help of natural settings of the human body, people have learned to resist the dangers that they are everywhere trapped in. This is expressed in the fact that if it is hot - a person jerks his hand, if they provide a suspicious food - refusal of it, if a person does not know how to swim, then, naturally, he does not go deep into the water.
Animal instinct can also be called a kind of self-preservation instinct. The instinct of self-preservation is considered basic because in its absence all other instincts lose their meaning. And the reason for this is obvious: the first thing that is necessary for any individual, including a person, is to take care of preserving one's own existence, otherwise it will not be able to function and simply be useful to this world. By the way, the instinct of self-preservation in children is developed from the very moment of birth.
Genophilic type - what is it?
In the genophilic type, the instinct of procreation dominates. If from childhood the child grows in a society where interests are fixed only on the family, he will be calm only when the whole family is together, everyone is doing well with health and a good mood prevails. For such people, the home is considered a fortress, and the interests of each member of the family are above all. Very often people of this type are willing to sacrifice themselves for their children and family. The instinct of survival does not work in this case, because the genophilic type is not concentrated on itself, but on its own family. You can observe this instinct by saving people from a burning room. A person with a dominant instinct of self-preservation is unlikely to go himself to save people during a fire. People of the genophilic type do it without hesitation.
Instinct of altruism

Dominant type
In this type, the dominant instinct is considered dominant, but it also has a colossal survival instinct. From the very childhood such people have the ability to organize games, they are accustomed to set goals and achieve them. The dominant type knows how to understand people and lead them. These people feel the increased need to control others. Very often the children of the dominant type grow leaders, leaders, politicians, as well as organizers.
