"Eucharis" in translation from Greek means "super-pleasant, super-graceful". This definition, above all, refers to the flowers of this plant. Another name is the Amazon lily, although the flowers themselves are more like narcissus, and the leaves are a zanderedic plant. Care of the plant in our region is quite complicated, since eucharis is prevalent mainly on the eastern slopes of the Andes and in the western Amazon. In Europe, the plant appeared in the early XIX century. In the southern part of the continent it is planted in the open ground. In colder regions, it is grown as a room culture and in greenhouses.

The eucharis has wide, large shiny leaves of dark green color and elliptical shape. Their length reaches 20-30 cm, width - 10 cm. Flowers are white, 3-6 pieces in inflorescence of umbelliform form on peduncle, reaching a length of 50-60 cm. The aroma emanating from the flowers during flowering, recalls the aroma of the lily of the valley. It can be blossomed twice a year.
