Tourists do not have to think long over the question of what to see in Egypt.

The visiting card and the most ancient construction of the planet are the pyramids. They are located in Giza near Cairo. The Great Pyramid of Cheops is the only surviving monument from the list of Seven Wonders of the World. Until now, scientists can not unravel all the mysteries of the Egyptian pyramids.

There is such a majestic Great Sphinx, looking to the east. From the rock of limestone, a figure of a lion with a face resembling the face of Pharaoh Chefren is carved. Since ancient times, the pharaohs were portrayed in the form of figures of lions, exterminating their enemies, since the lion was considered a symbol of the Sun God.

In Cairo it is worthwhile to go not only to visit museums (although there are many of them), but also to explore the city - the largest in all of Africa. Cairo is the capital of the great state of Egypt. Its attractions are of interest to people who want to immerse themselves in ancient history. Here it is worth to visit the Museum of Antiquity with its 107 rooms, storing more than one hundred thousand exhibits. One of the most interesting is the Royal Room of the Mummies, containing the mummies of the pharaohs, various household items from the legendary tomb of Tutankhamun.

Near the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh stands Mount Sinai, or Mount Moses, where Christians are sent for pilgrimage from ancient times. Also attracts this place and tourists. You can climb the night along a long path to the mountain and meet the first rays of the sun on its summit. You can walk all the way, or you can use the services of Bedouins, who will offer you a small fee for riding their camels.

It's worth to visit Luxor, this city-museum under the open sky. The huge complex of temples and tombs of Luxor itself attracts tourists to Egypt. The sights of the city are historically divided territorially by the river Nile on the "City of the Living" with museums and temples and "City of the Dead" with the tombs of the pharaohs.

Visit Alexandria, the second largest city in the state of Egypt. Its attractions are also impressive. The pace of life in Alexandria is calmer than in Cairo. And the city is visited by tourists who want to take a leisurely tour of all the archaeological relics that have been preserved since the time when this Alexandria was the cultural center of the East.

Undoubtedly, the most attractive places for modern people in Egypt are its excellent resorts: democratic Hurghada, popular Sharm El Sheikh and less visited, but also very attractive Dahab, Nuweiba, Safaga and others.

Weather in Egypt

Excellent time for a trip to rest in Egypt - spring (from March to May) and autumn (September to November). However, many tourists arrive in Egypt in December and in January. It is easier to see the sights, as there is no autumn influx of tourists. And the sea is still warm, the air temperature during the day allows you to swim, and it's good to get a tan. Only for evening walks you have to wear thin sweaters, and at night it's cool enough (+10 C). In summer, the temperature is higher than +40 degrees, but many tourists do not interfere with visiting the country in the summer months. The climate in Egypt is so favorable that it makes the state attractive for tourists almost all the year round.
