Effective maintenance of a money tree at home

Crassula, plover, or money tree is a plant that has dozens of names and varieties. The Tolstyank family numbers almost three hundred succulent representatives of the flora. The majority of people in our country receive the rosula as a gift as a sign of attracting wealth to the family. However, immediately there is an alarm - and what will happen if the plant dies? To be frightened it is not necessary: care of a monetary tree in house conditions is extremely simple. It is necessary to decide which form of the plant will be preferable:

• For horizontal growth and obtaining of thin lianopodobnyh twigs, the fatty should be planted in a wide low pot;
• To give it a bonsai shape, pinch off the central leaves in the places where there will be branching.

It is easy to grow the rosula - it reproduces perfectly by leaves and cuttings. In three or four days, the sprout, which was lowered into the water, will take roots and be ready for planting. While the young roots are sprouting, every day you need to change the water in a glass to a clean one. Before planting, the thick-skinned woman is gently rinsed under running water, and then allowed to dry on a paper towel for several hours. For this type of plant, choose sufficiently flat pots of plastic or ceramic. At the bottom lay a large drainage - expanded clay or simple fragments of earthenware plates. The most effective and repeatedly verified composition of the soil for the rosula will be a mixture of turf, sand and leaf land in equal proportions diluted 1 to 1 by ordinary humus. Planting of a money tree:

1. Put the drainage, pour two-thirds of the pot of earth.
2. Moisten the soil, gently, without pressing, insert the stalk into the hole and sprinkle it on all sides with earth.
3. Cover the germ with a transparent glass or film, do not forget to air the plant once or twice a day.

Attention: when transplanting or planting a rosula, it is impossible to cover the root neck with soil, because of this, it can rotate the stem or kill the whole plant!

Disease of a money tree

However, sometimes a plant suddenly discards leaves or changes color, all of which can be caused by the following diseases and causes:

1. Frozen or drenched roots can lead to "baldness" of the money tree. Restore the normal temperature and watering regimes, and the plant will again grow leaves.
2. To determine the disease and know how to care for a money tree, a photo from the Internet is not enough. Usually, leaves can fall off due to the effects of fungus or sucking parasites. Consecutive treatment with appropriate drugs will save the plant.

The main conditions for a long life and flowering of the money tree are: moderate watering, a sunny place and the right soil mixture.
