Easy kusudama can be done even by a child

The origin of the Cusudama is rooted in the deep past. The technique is very similar to other ancient art - origami. Initially, this is a sheet of paper in the form of a square from which the figure was created. The square for the inhabitants of the East is a symbol of the earth, which possesses firmness, indestructibility and permanence. Kusudama differs from origami by cutting and gluing paper. There are different versions of the origin of this name. One, the name consists of the words "kusuri", in translation from Japanese - "medicine", and "tama" - "ball." It turns out "drug ball". It was believed that in this ball laid healing herbs and hung over the bed of the patient. Few people guess that the first kusudam were square. According to another version, the "kusu" from the Japanese - "camphor" and "kusunoki" - camphor tree. The fruits of this tree have the shape of a ball. In both cases, the contents of the ball were used as a remedy.

What does it consist of?

Now Kusudam can also be attributed to a therapeutic lesson: while working with paper comes calm, children develop motor skills of the hands. You can pick up any light kusudams for children, the schemes of which are really not only easy to perform, but also very exciting.
So what does the Kusudama consist of? Usually, these are glued together sheets of paper of square shape.

What do we use?

To produce kusudama need a little: a circuit, glue and scissors. Some use still the fabric and everything that imagination can allow: sheets of glossy magazines, wallpapers and even plastic. But professionals advise all the same to start with the usual paper. Later it will be possible to use paper for making origami. Glue is also very ordinary (PVA), the main thing is that he does not grasp immediately and leave no traces on paper. There are no requirements to the selection of scissors.

Easy options

Before you start creating kusudama, it's best to practice on making basic modules. In principle, in its manufacture kusudams are light, this process can be mastered by everyone. Kusudama is good at helping assiduity. The easiest kusudama is the basic module "door". It consists of a standard square two-color sheet, which according to the conditions must be folded in half, and so that a fold line is formed in the center of the square. To the central line, fold the edges, resulting in the end result.

Another light kusudama - "kite", in general is not more difficult than the previous version. The basis is taken by the same square, only it needs to be deployed in such a way that a rhombus turns out, and folded in half, forming a fold. Then turn and from the top of the corner to the fold line lower the side lines, you get a "kite".

Or light kusudama "butterfly", for which you need 30 rectangular strips of the same color and 30 other.

Kusudama classical

This is a ball consisting of only 6 elements. Its manufacture does not require much assiduity. The square folds in half, then again in half. Then it is added by the basic "door" method and bends to the middle from two sides of the sheet edge. By flattening, pockets are obtained, the corners of each of which are folded inwards. Each resulting corner unfolds and flattenes, 4 corners of the square are bent inwards, circles are obtained, which are joined by gluing. This creates a fairly light kusudama "ball". Dare!
