Follicular keratosis

Follicular keratosis is a group of diseases of acquired or hereditary nature, the main feature of which is hyperkeratosis, timed to the hair follicles.

According to histological studies, the diseases have similar signs. So, follicular keratosis is manifested by dense knots in the form of conical horny plugs in the follicular estuaries. Often, such formations end in dry, in the form of threads, protrusions-spines. Follicular keratosis of different species can differ in localization, the presence of inflammatory processes, the depth of penetration into the dermis of horny masses, and also the combination with other symptoms.
